It's still odd that in 2022 the notice of marriage process is still wasting people's time, publicising local registrations on the wall in the registry office, and the poor staff that have to follow that process day in day out of asking questions in a society where we input data to forms all the time. That said, the staff there are really lovely, it's a nice place and nice and cool in yesterday's heat.

My task was to register a death. I was seen within moments of arriving; the registrar was perfectly polite and professional. She took care to explain the procedure and all points as we progressed; she was sympathetic and courteous throughout.
