Referred to a Diabetes Prevention Programme by my GP and this is the one that then contacted me. They failed to say I had a choice between face-to-face or online app based, failed to tell me how many face-to-face sessions there would be or how long each was (up to 2 hours!) so I waited for the initial telephone consultation with my assigned advisor. After a good talk it was agreed that the sessions were of no use to me as I've taken ownership of my health and fitness and working hard on it. My blood sugar level has been stable for 15 years, and is on the way down without outside help. After the advisor agreed I didn't need to programme, she told me she would have me removed. That didn't happen so I phoned them directly. Same thing, they promised to remove me.Since then I've had multiple appointment reminder emails, and two copies of a satisfaction survey. Guess how I reviewed them ;)This is still ongoing!

Well having read some of the appalling reviews, I am convinced that I am not on the same programme but I know that I am! I was referred for this programme in October 2022 and I have to say that the support, information and teaching have all been excellent. The access to resources and booklets are so useful and the instructors are far from patronising or condescending. I think that you only get as much out of this course as you are prepared to put into it. Since I started this course I have lost 7 kg and am no longer pre-diabetic and the lifestyle changes are easy to put in place. It's all about taking responsibility for your own health and being given the tools to do it. This course enabled me to do that and I am so grateful to my GP for giving me the opportunity to do it.

What a shambles. My first session was in a crowded room, we had to get our own chairs. Then I got death by Powerpoint for 2hrs. My next session was cancelled and I got a new letter only to turn up for a session to find that was cancelled as well. The NHS is wasting taxpayers money on consultant who are not fit for purpose.

I was referred to this weight loss programme by my GP surgery. Given 4 options and Xyla looked the best but it’s really nothing more than a bunch of recipes (all of which are accessible on BBC Good Food), a link to an external exercise app, and the option to record weight, bp etc. No real guidance. And the App is dreadful - hardly ever works properly. I lost a couple of pounds in week 1 but after submitting my new weight (correctly), the app says I gained two stone!! Most people in the “Community” section are complaining about the same things. It’s disgraceful that the NHS are paying for this!

What a waste of time. I’m sure that any of us who have struggled with their weight could tell you the same. We all know the input v output balance , but we struggle, hence we are looking for help not an insult to our intelligence. Please NHS , don’t waste our money and don’t patronise us. We are not idiots .

Complete and utter shambles. Just like the NHS. These guys don't have a clue. Registered on their app claim to be the best and provide the best service. However you can't even get an introductory session. What kind of Mickey Mouse setup is this.

Similar experience to others - I declined referral to their programme but have continued to be harassed by them. They even created an online account with my private medical details after I explicitly said I didn't want this. Claim they'll look into" the problem

Keep away from this very aggresive business. I don't know how they get my details but keep sending me messages every week. After ignoring them they start calling me. Unprofessional low trained staff definitely not bring you services you deserve and expect.

I had to miss the 2nd session so have an online catchup session booked after my 3rd session.I have a training background with numerous qualifications to deliver training to a wide and varied group of adults, I am therefore qualified to comment on the presentation of the course. The trainer, delivering todays course, module 3, was a young man who clearly had limited, if any, training experience. He fidgeted with a plastic bottle throughout the session and constantly referred to his own, very limited and often irrelevant, experiences . I was dismayed at his lack of knowledge and his inability to engage with the group.I was the youngest member, at 62yrs old, the trainer continued, without a break, for an hour and a half. The need to take a break had become intolerable and uncomfortable which was a distraction from the course input. The need to drink plenty off water and the urge to urinate, for those with pre or actual diabetes was cometely overlooked, add that the the age demographic of the group, an obvious issue Wass not factored into the session. I recall very little of the course other than the irritating way the trainer played with his water bottle, paced around the room and my desperate need to visit the loo.if anyone wishes to contact me with regards to my feedback I will be happy to discuss further.
