Active Outdoor Pursuits

2 of us inexperienced women ended up Gorge scrambling. One of us with fear of heights and the other who doesn't know how to swim. Our instructor, Brad was awesome. He walked us through what to expected. Made us take baby steps, each step of the way and overall helped us enjoy the experience and work through our fears. Would recommend anyone thinking of trying this to go ahead and book with them and enjoy the process.

Had the most amazing two days up the West Coast, Kayaking on Loch Maree and off the beech at Torridon , Active Outdoor Pursuits were brilliant and booking was very easy. Really friendly and tailored our needs to suit. The Instructors were excellent and very experienced, Both were very nice and we had the most amazing time. I will certainly be using this company again and cant recommend them enough.

We did Gorge Scrambling at Truim Falls as a family activity with our 2 boys. What a fantastic experience! Highly recommended!Sarah was an excellent instructor and made our boys feel extremely safe and they were ready to do it again before we got back to the car.We will definitely be trying some other activities soon. We went on the Great Glen Canoe expedition with active outdoor. It was truly an enthralling experience. Right from booking to food, they took care of all things one might have to encounter at a difficult expedition like this. We were really stress free and super happy with the arrangements. I would recommend you to checkout Active Outdoor pursuits for any adventurous activity that you might be planning, as they offer good trained guides, prompt service and a lot of adrenaline rush!

Had a brilliant time canyoning at the Falls of Bruar, met Dan and the team, really welcoming and well equipped, family of 5 with some of us a bit wary of what canyoning involved. The guys were really professional and patient, especially with one of us dropping a helmet 50ft into the water before we even started!!! Big jumps, wee jumps, water slides and abseiling all added to a great day out!Excellent time had by all

Had a brilliant canyoning trip with these guys. The trip was really well run by Liam and Cameron, both of whom were great fun and very helpful. There were a couple of people in the group that were new to canyoning, but they made everyone feel 100% safe and comfortable. Everything went smoothly and everyone had a great time. Communication was excellent both in the lead up to the trip and on the day itself - Gethin provided extremely good customer service, answering all my questions and making sure everything was in order.Big thanks to everyone for providing a very enjoyable trip!

Attended a fantastic ski touring course at the end of Feb. It was informative, very well run and a challenging experience. The equipment provided was really good and the knowledge of course leader Roy was incredible. Learned loads, highly recommended.

Really good time on 5 day descent of the River Spey. Well organised. Excellent staff : knew the River well; helpful instruction; inspired confidence ; good company for 5 days wild camping ; plenty of expedition rations. Highly recommended.

We did a canyoning excursion with Cameron in September and it was so fun! He was extermly knowledgable about the area as well as the activity and how to be safe. Very good communication during the activity helped us feel comfortable and he was a really fun person to have leading us. We shot down waterfalls, jumped off rocks & cliffs, and even had time to hike back up for a second round. Thanks!

We had a brilliant experience on our canyoning trip, and we were lucky enough to be by ourselves as a couple, meaning we could have a bit more of a personalised experience! The water was very cold even in September, but Allt Na H-Uamha was still really fun and our guide put us at ease to do it in its entirety. I was even lent some spare trainers to wear while canyoning as I didn't have any to bring, which was a nice touch. However, the one blemish was a bit of miscommunication by Active Outdoor Pursuits, as we waited at the meeting point in Newtonmore for our guide, only to have to ring and find out that he was already halfway to the canyon. It meant that we had to drive half an hour in our car to meet him at the canyon, rather than going in their van.
