Oakwood Veterinary Referrals

We have used Oakwood a few times over the years and will need to again and again. After visiting lots of other vets it was only Oakwood who found out what was wrong with Paige. I can not express how amazing they are. so professional, knowledgeable and caring. I can honestly say we are so lucky to have such an amazing service and facility within our area. The care, surgical skills, professionalism and friendliness of all the staff here is outstanding. My Irish Wolfhound loved his visits (which is probably the best recommendation you can have). Wonderful.

I was very please with the service. I got a referral from my vet and a call later that same day. The specialist I saw answer all my questions thoroughly while standing outside in a drizzly car park. I was not rushed and he made sure I understood all the options and treatments. They provided a very quick and professional service during a pandemic. They were quicker to get in contact and sort my pets health than the NHS was in contacting me regarding mine. I highly recommend their services.

Our shih tsu Malcolm came to Oakwood with a slipped disc a few weeks ago. We got a referall from our vets and they managed to get him seen within an hour and scheduled a scan and surgery within 2 days. Eandil and all the staff were beyond helpful and we couldn't have asked for more. Eandil called me every day Malcolm was in there to give me a daily update on his recovery and made us very aware of what was happening/what was due to happen next. He even went in and called me on his day off! On the few occasions we called to ask how Malcolm was/ask about aftercare once he was out, the staff were unbelievably helpful and made sure we knew exactly what to do. I would recommend Oakwood to anybody who has a poorly pet. Absolutely grade A service with staff that go above and beyond!Jack Arnold

Our beloved Working Cocker was seriously ill after a RTA. Our Vet's sent us to Oakwood & they were fantastic. Without doubt they saved his life he really was that poorly. He's back home now and slowly recovering. All the staff were great but we'd like to give special praise to Nurse's Laura & Chole and Andy the Vet.

Reception staff are very pleasant and like to engage with your pet. The orthopaedic surgeon examined my pet and was certain of the diagnosis unlike my local pet, he explained everything that needed to be done. I felt reassured and confident that my pet was in expert hands. She has had her operation and is doing well, the post operative instructions were clear.

Where to start?Exactly a week ago I was fearful for my beloved dogs survival. A miniature dachshund had quite quickly lost the use of front and hind leg on one side. The staff were fantastic in bringing forward our appointment to see Charlie on Wednesday night to make a plan for the next day.Dropping Wilbur in was one of the hardest things in recent memory. An anaesthetic, MRI and then cervical disc removal all followed in rapid sequence.5 hard days of separation followed but the nursing updates were reliable and fantastic updates. It was clear they were the best surrogates he could have.It's still early days but Wilbur is progressing really well and we are just do thankful to Charlie and his amazing team!!They are just as amazing as SuoerVet- just without the TV cameras!Thank you allR, A and Wilbur.

My experience has been nothing short of fantastic, I have nothing but praise for all the staff there my dog angel spent 10 days in there and i had complete peace of mind that she was being well cared for ,you just know by the caring nature from reception to kennel staff that your pet will be safe and cared for. Angel is now on the road to recovery after surgery performed by Charlie sale.i would recommend this vets without hesitation.
