Sky High Ballooning

Finally got our exclusive balloon flight this week after several postponements due to adverse weather. Phil the pilot & Chris, ground crew, really looked after us. The flight was a tremendous experience, including the landing!! Bottle of champagne included, they even dropped us off at our hotel afterwards.

What an amazing morning we had. First time on a hot air balloon for me and it was incredible. Such a calm and peaceful ride. We could just take all the views in. Phill is a very friendly pilot. Made us all feel relaxed, and explained all the safety measures.High light was the soft landing (was expecting to be dragged across the field lol)10/10 for the whole experience. Felt like pet of the crew. Definitely recommend and will certainly be going again.

Wow! What an experience.We flew from Ragley Hall during the Midland Air Show. Weather was glorious, the flight was perfect, and Phil and the support team were wonderful. Phil's pre-flight talk made you feel at ease and completely part of the crew as you helped inflate then deflate the balloon. Phil is thoroughly professional, knowledgeable and safety conscious to ensure your flight is awesome. An 8.30am glass of Champagne to toast the whole experience gave that little extra. Thoroughly recommend you try it. Thank you so much.

We flew with Phil and Sky High Ballooning out of Stroud and had a fantastic flight. Views were spectacular and everything was smoothly organised and hassle free. My family and I had a great time. We hope to fly again with Phil another day.

We were lucky enough to fly from the Bristol Balloon Fiesta and it was just an amazing experience - taking off and flying in amongst so many different balloons.Matt the pilot was great and it was absolutely idyllic just floating slowly across Bristol. A fabulous trip and definitely recommend Sky High Ballooning.

OMG our baloon flight on 21 July 2023 with Phil was truly AMAZING ! We met at Ashton Court at 5.15am and it was a brilliantly 'hands on' experience, helping Phil and his Balooning Partner Chris hold the baloon while it was being inflated with a cold air fan, they took over then with the burner to heat the air and so on. They carried out full instruction, were really friendly and made us (the 4 passengers) feel totally at ease. Take off was very gentle, the flight was calm and so still and peaceful - it was absolutely perfect. Fantastic clear day. We flew across Bristol's waterfront, over Bedminster, the Wells Road and Broadwalk, Brislington and Hicks Gate roundabout before a superbly gentle landing in Keynsham by the Chocolate Quarter. It was one of the best days of my life! Weather conditions were perfect (Phil lets off a small helium baloon before anything else to ensure wind / weather conditions are right). Helped after our landing to deflate the baloon and get it back into the 'bag' !! Were rewarded by Phil and Chris by a glass of Champagne. In all, a TOTALLY AWESOME experience - if you are thinking whether to do a baloon flight - take my advice and DO IT !!!!! A+++++++++++ (review by Anthony in Portishead)

We had a brilliant sunrise flight with Sky High Ballooning. Our pilot Phil and his colleague Rich were both really friendly and professional and immediately made us feel at ease. Phil took time during the flight to point out landmarks and show us the workings of the balloon, and generally made it feel like a really special occasion (even though he must have done it hundreds of times before!). We would love to fly with Sky High Ballooning again some day and would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to do a balloon flight over Bristol.

Incredible experience. Initially excited and apprehensive in equal measure, both Phil and Chris were very relaxing in their approach and as soon as the safety briefing was complete, it was pure excitement and adrenalin. The route through Bristol and in particular, over Ashton Gate, couldn't of been better on what was a beautiful evening. Fulfilled a life long ambition. Flew with Phil yesterday morning with my 84 year old dad. Phil was professional, helpful and informative. Just 4 of us passengers in the basket plus Phil as pilot. An amazing experience and cannot recommend him enough. A lovely glass of bubbly and/or orange juice at the end of the flight. Thank you Phil. Hope to fly with you again soon. Sue xx
