We can not say enough about Hertz at this location. We were running a bit late and there was a lot of construction.The people and this location where beyond accommodating. One of the gentleman offered to take us to get gas and then deliver us to the train station. I wish I could remember his name but hes a student. We were so very grateful for the help that they gave us. I would highly recommend this particular location.

Rented a car from this location during what I was told was their busiest time of the year - during the Fringe festival. The wait was about 30 minutes due to the number of people in line. I was extremely impressed by the professionalism of all of the employees. As another reviewer said: helpful and efficient. Very pleased with the quality and cleanliness of the car. The return process was easy as well. Very happy with the employees and the rental process.

Unpleasant man at Hertz Edinburgh Airport refused to allow me to sign on as extra driver , even though this had been explicitly confirmed with Hertz by the primary driver a few days earlier. He tried to insist that the primary driver had ti be present -even though Hertz had confirmed thst that this was not needed.He refused to attempt to look up the agreement although he obviously could haveHertz apparently engages staff who have contradictory policies and have a pattern of unhelpful obstructiveness

On the Monday I was there it was very busy apparently because of the Open having just finished. The queue was out of the door but was moving pretty fast considering. I’ve been in shorter queues in the US and waited three or four times longer! Staff were helpful and efficient. The car was booked for 10:00 and I got it at 10:09 so that was pretty good.The car was clean and there were no issues with it.Returning the car was hassle free.Overall I was pretty pleased with the experience. The reason I gave it four stars was that the actual location is quite small and on that day was rather warm and uncomfortable – though there is a water dispenser by the entrance.

The staff was friendly and professional. We weren't persuaded to buy additional services. We have been given a better car for the same money. The car was very clean and flawless. We had to wait some 15 minutes in a queue (both getting and returning the car). Super Cover insurance is highly suggested to prevent any troubles and arguments.

Absolutely horrible. Tried to trick me out of money several times.Tried to pick up the car and was told they did not have the car we rented so what would we like instead, after showing us 5 different cars we were told it would cost an extra 120 GBP/Day. We said we wouldn't pay more so they somehow" found our rental and finally gave it to us.When we went to return the car they "found" the scratches on the attached photos. I think they were there prior to my renting.What cheapskates! They are charging an extra 140 GBP for the "scratched" car. Avoid this place at all costs."

Excellent staff and easy location to rent from while in the city. Very busy but with a reservation, efficient pick up and drop off. The staff were accommodating as we adjusted to the rental car before setting off into city traffic. The rates were competitive but the service made Hertz and east choice for Scotland.

Staff was kind, but basically gave us misinformation on the area we were headed in an effort to upsell their services. We were told our phones wouldn’t work (even though we had international plans), and we would need to upgrade to a premium vehicle and GPS due to rough roads and no signal.We went back and forth and after 2 other staff chimed in saying we needed an upgrade and GPS, we said okay. Needless to say, we absolutely did not need an upgrade of a car. Roads were absolutely fine, the onboard GPS was wrong every time except ONCE In our 5 day rental. We used our phone the entire time with no problem and did not need the upgrade. After the trip I submitted a form to customer service and haven’t heard back in over a week. Very disappointed in this service.I would go with someone else.

After reading the reviews I was quite nervous to pick up my car. Location wise, for a first time driver in Scotland, its horrible. As soon as you pull out theres construction and city traffic.However, our experience here wit staff, was fantastic. It was pricey. Way pricey. But the staff took time to explain the car and sat nav to us. Very friendly. Car was super nice. And whole experience took less than an hour.
