Lower Hill Campsite

We've visited Lowerhill for years and it just keeps getting better every time we return! Not a bad word to say about anything! Amazing people, fantastic accommodation and omg the views!!!

It's the second time we've been in a month and we absolutely loved it the first time we wanted to share it with more friends the second time. Stunning location, on a working farm, Rita you are amazing, you look after everyone so well, so hardworking and trusting. Like previous reviews, people need to be more respectful of the hard work that goes into Lower Hill Farm. The facilities are kept so clean by Rita and her team. Showers, toilets, washing up areas. We didn't use the pizza oven this time as we may have cooked ourselves it was just so hot. Best place we've camped and will be back either to stay in one of the glamping accommodation in winter this year, but most definitely in our tent next year. We're a family of 4 and the children loved it too, fun fishing and naming the baby chicks. Great memories made with our friends. Thank you once again Rita.

Camping review.Terraced and undulating site so bring chocks if you have a van, it’s not completely level, all grass pitches some with EHU.Spectacular views of Long Mynd and The Wrekin, through the trees with direct access onto Wenlock Edge with its myriad of paths and tracks. The farm is bathed in sunlight due to its position with lovely sunsets, the night sky can be enjoyed as it’s rural locations means limited light pollution.The facilities are by the Farmhouse, inc Grey and Elsan waste, fresh water, wash up area. There are 5 cubicles, 2 shower and toilet, 1 shower only and 2 toilet only. Clean and functional and plenty of hot water.There is a small pond teeming with fish, fishing is allowed for a small fee, lovely place to pond dip with the kids, there are some swings too to keep them entertained.Small honesty shop with essentials in case you forget something, fire pits and woods.

We had a fantastic weekend, the children loved the site, the hot tub and buying the eggs! We will visit again

Just had a great weekend at Lower Hill farm. Been a few years since we had visited last and lots of great additions and improvements. Thanks for a great stay.

Looked at over 10 campsites before settling on this one and I had no idea what to expect. Firstly it's on a hill and my ford fiesta couldn't get up on the grass easily and it was a bit hit and miss on the track in. However I met 2 very nice owners who contacted the person in charge and we were told where to get our campsite set up. After that we never spoke to anyone in charge again, we found it to be a really nice 'left to your own devices' campsite. Amazing view in the morning, woken by chickens and farm animals. For the money the showers and toilets are perfect, spacious, look new and are really clean. There are several picnic benches in the middle of the field, we claimed one. The honesty shop sells every essential you'd need so bring Cash. We will be coming back to this site and get some use out of the BBQ and fire pits you can hire. (I say hire, you simply put your money in a pot and it's yours for your stay). By the looks of it the owners are making more level space/access roads. We pitched at the top of the hill and it's perfectly flat for tents, just a little tricky to manoeuvre the car up there.

The most idyllic beautiful wedding venue, views for miles, wonderfully private highly recommend for a visit or an event

Visited this lovely campsite for the first time in July. If you are looking for peace and quiet and some lovely views this is the place for you.We stopped on an electric pitch ( in a tent) right down by the pond, which was very sheltered and private. This is probably the biggest pitch we have ever had!! The view down in to the fields below was spectacular.The facilities are very clean and modern. The water for dish washing is absolutely red hot so be careful.We will definitely be returning.
