We enjoyed a delicious 3 course birthday lunch at L'Atelier on Saturday 11th Feb - my first time at this still relatively new restaurant which opened in Wandsworth back in the summer - it's low key appearance from the outside belies it's cosy interior. It's superb and I highly recommend!! It's run by a wonderful husband & wife team - Philip doing front of house and Mona in the kitchen - the food is absolutely divine, a beautiful blend of freshly prepared seasonal Moroccan & Belgian dishes including a selection of mouthwatering starters to share among our group of 4, and the main dishes were also exceptional, with a perfectly accompanied wine selection - in addition we learned that Mona is a gifted patissiere and she brought out a beautiful birthday cake for our party. There's amazing artwork on all the walls - some incredible photographic art and Moroccan influenced items, as well as a series of brilliant abstract paintings from London based Irish artist Donal Ryan (available to purchase). We'll definitely be back again soon to try some more dishes - apologies that I stupidly forgot to take photos of the food dishes while we were eating so only the cake is shown - next time I'll take food photos!

An absolute gem, food was incredible service was even better! Great wine too. Fantastic garden space that can be booked for events, perfect for birthdays etc. Owners could be be nicer, if you haven’t been you need to go! Thank you Philip and Mona!

We have enjoyed two wonderful meals here. The decor is so well designed and the atmosphere so relaxed and peaceful. The service is friendly and personal. The food is so delicious! A lovely, unusual, and family-run restaurant. Would recommend highly.

What a pleasure to have such a good restaurant in our neighbourhood! Moroccan food of excellent quality with an elegant bistro twist. Friendly and quick service and cosy atmosphere. Definitely a place to visit as often as possible!

The absolute best Moroccan food I’ve eaten in a restaurant. Sounds sensational but true. So many flavours and textures. Incredible quality in every dish and the price was extremely reasonable. First time visiting but not my last. Thank you Mouna and Philippe for a great experience

This was my first time here, and we had a fantastic meal. The food was incredible, especially the soup and the briwat. The vegetarian mains were delicious and the cocktails were very refreshing. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed and we had a great chat with our host about the food and Morocco. I will be returning and I highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Very disappointing meal. Firstly the Menu choices were far too limited. The Sharing Platter for £14 was small, and apart from olives and foccacia bread that was the only choices. The platter was put down on the table with no explanation of what the dishes were. Further more we were given crisp like crackers instead of proper Moroccan bread. Followed by cheese that was then put on the bill as £7 each total £21 when we were told it was part of the sharing platter. 5 small pieces of brown bread was then put on the table as an after thought. This is totally not authentic. Mains were alright, again not the widest of choices. When asked if we wanted dessert and we said yes, there was only one choice - apricot crumble.!!! This was a friends birthday dinner on a Saturday evening. I certainly could not make a fuss but I felt it was below par for what we paid. I expected so much better. Having eaten in several fantastic Moroccan restaurants this one will not be on my list of return too.
