Snorkel Wild

Excellent. Genine is a fantastic instructor, very friendy and knows lots about animals and plants you might see in the sea. We snorkeled in Coldingham Bay where we've seen lots of fish, jellyfish, crabs, urchins and different algae. It was my first time snorkeling in Scotland and felt very comfortable and safe in the water. I would recommend it to anyone that hasn't snorkeled before or doesn't have much experience snorkeling in cold waters.

I’ve had an amazing session with Genine earlier in the month. Genine was very friendly, knowledgeable and made things very comfortable. It was my first time snorkelling in Scotland and I was very pleased (apart from the cold water)! I’m looking forward to join Genine and hopefully her group in more snorkelling sessions!

We had a brilliant experience with Genine from SnorkelWild.Everything was well organised to the last detail, teaching was balanced with practical experience and discussion afterwards.We had no equipment ourselves so we were well kitted out with wetsuits from St Veda’s Surf Shop and the rest of the snorkelling kit from Genine.The time in the sea was magical from the first moment. The tide was falling and we saw how the rocks seemed so much more ‘alive’ underwater, a wide variety of seaweeds wafting in the water, crabs scuttling on the seabed, fish, wee jellies and ctenophores billowing like transparent cushions. The kelp forest was awesome.An experience to try out and also to repeat.

I enjoyed every minute of my afternoon snorkeling with Genine and two other lovely ladies on Thursday 29th June. Coldingham Bay is a perfect location and Genine an experienced and knowledgeable guide. The equipment was high quality, comfortable and kept me beautifully warm for the hour plus in the water. The weather was dry and the sea temp 14 degrees C. The water was clear and there was plenty to see - large lobster, flat fish, crabs, smaller fish, comb jellyfish and forests of different seaweeds. The time flew by and I can't wait to go snorkeling again.

I have loved every opportunity I have taken to go underwater adventuring with Genine at Snorkel Wild.Whether alone with her or with a group, there's always the fact that you have been briefed, that communication is clear, and you are safe and confident to focus on seeing and learning more about the fish and plants in the fascinating underwater world. We had an amazing day with Genine and saw loads of marine life. Genine took time to explain everything we were going to see and gave us a detailed safety briefing, so although it was our first time snorkelling in Scotland, we felt very calm and safe. The equipment provided was very good quality and kept us warm. Genine was also very understanding and flexible when we had to reschedule due to illness and disruptions to public transport. We'd definitely book again with Snorkel Wild!

This was an amazing experience. As a novice, I was apprehensive but Genine put me at ease with her confident and relaxed approach. She went at the groups' pace and I always felt safe. She stayed close in the water and checked with me regularly.Highly recommended these trips.

We loved our amazing snorkelling experience with Genine. Passionate about the marine life, she was a clear and calm instructor who made sure we were best prepared for our first time snorkelling. It opened a window to a world we never knew - swimming among the sand eels and watching the crabs dancing across the sea bed - it really was magical. My partner's 14 y.o. son who's too cool for school didn't want to get out the water!
