Awesome!! As a complete beginner, I booked one of the introduction classes and throughly enjoyed it! I've collected pottery over the years but have never had a go at making my own so had such a fun afternoon learning how to throw and have since been to two of the evening classes to finish off the pieces I created, learning how to turn and glaze. Attila is a great teacher - very patient, knowledgeable and welcoming and the studio he has set up is brilliant! I like the fact that he keeps his classes fairly small too (5-6 people) so there's an opportunity for everyone to have one-on-one time as well as the chance to have a go by themselves. I am finding pottery very therapeutic and really enjoying learning something new! Would highly recommend Altar Pottery to anyone! Definitely one to check out. Thanks Attila :)

We had a great experience at Altar pottery last weekend. I bought the introduction vouchers for myself and my mum as a gift for her.We both thoroughly enjoyed the class. It was so much fun learning a new skill and we can't wait to return to paint and glaze our pieces!A huge thanks to Attila who is a great teacher and ensured he spent enough time with all of us :-)Louise & Carol

Ace ace ace!!! The class was so much fun, I signed up with a friend so we could have a one off fun evening and we are now both pottery converts! Attila is an absolutely fab teacher, so helpful, patient and explained everything so clearly. Defintely recommend him as a teacher!

This new pottery studio in an old school in Toxteth (Summer 2018) is very well equipped for wheel throwing and hand building. There is a lot of space and storage, excellent light from the large windows and plenty of fresh air and sunsets. There are 5/6 quality pottery wheels and two kilns. The tutor, Attila, has studied and been involved with ceramics for many years. He is patient, attentive, well informed and fun to be with - all the qualities of a good teacher. Usually between 3-6 students per 2 hour session. Very easy to park outside. Located on the first floor with a lift. Aprons are provided and also a kitchen for tea/coffee breaks. I would recommend highly.

Really enjoyed the beginners pottery class. The studio was perfect space-wise and you are never to far away for Attila to rescue the clay (if your anything like myself)! He was polite, professional & really helpful. I have already recommend this class to friends!

Atilla was a great tutor, at my induction class last weekend, which resulted in 3 recognisable pots!The class was really well organised and the instructions were clear and firm!Really looking forward to going back to glaze the pots and immerse myself in the zen like environment.If you are looking to give pottery a try sign-up to the news letter to get a place!

I just took my first ever pottery introductory class here! The workshop is beautiful, relaxed, and the tutor Attila is amazing - so patient with us novices! I can't wait to do more lessons to finish my pieces and see what else I can learn. My house is going to be filled with ceramics before long!

What a wonderful session- highly recommend to all.I contact Attila to ask if he would be interested in a private workshop for myself and my mother (to celebrate her birthday). Attila was incredible accommodating and fit us in last minute for a 1 hour workshop. What a wonderful experience... we learnt so much and created two beautiful pots each. My Wife and I went to the Sunday class as complete beginners. We had a great time and with Attila's help there was a noticeable improvement in just a few hours. I'd highly recommend anyone thinking of trying pottery to give it a go.
