Costa Coffee

Staff were amazing. Although it was a quiet night they wanted to make sure I had everything sorted, they even sorted out my Costa card for me. Really sweet and amazing food.

Handy place to stop for coffee after a shopping trip. Security man was friendly and helpful, opening the door for me when I was struggling with my pram and bags and checking if I was ok. Small queue to get served, but service was good and I enjoyed my coffee. ☕

The manager or guard, not quite sure which one he is he is a white male tall and bald.So rude i was mortified. I walked into costa with a couple of my friends wanting a coffee as it was raining and freezing outside however I already had food from Greg’s so I brought it in with me while waiting for my coffee. He approached me while I was on my own and stood over me laughed and told me I’m not to be eating that here I need to go outside so I said don’t worry I’m just waiting for my friends to get a coffee and he huffed and walked off. He then came back over to me while I’m waiting and said “don’t eat when I’ve told you to wait outside” (I was finishing a half eaten wedge I had just made put in my mouth) raising his voice making it very aware to everyone he was kicking me out. I was so embarrassed I hate any sort of conflict or embarrassment like that. I definitely do not like drawing attention to myself I just wanted a coffee with my food that’s it. My friends then came over and asked what the issue was and he just told us to get out at this point everyone was staring.. I agreed to leave but then he threatened to get the ‘nastier’ manager as if he was trying to scare me out!! I’m 22 years old and I felt as though I was being spoken too like some children who were going to cause chaos!I’m very anxious and this was awful.If he had just come over quietly and said do you mind once you’ve got your coffee you take your Greg’s outside as it’s not appropriate to bring it in here I would’ve happily got my things and left. But that did not happen. We left without our coffees and went elsewhere, and I will not be returning to this coffee place along with a lot of our uni friends that come here for coffee every morning and lunch!! Something needs to be done about him as I’ve seen quite a few complaints about him now!

Me and my friends came into Costa and was ordering a coffee from here we also had Greg’s with us my friend sat down on her own and was waiting with the Greg’s on the table while we went to order some coffee the security card stood over her laughed at her then told her she wasn’t allowed to sit in if she had a Greg’s with her whilest she was waiting we came back the man stood over us and told us to get out and said he will get the manger who in his word is a “lot meaner then him” trying to scare us out like we were some children going to mess around in there I understand not eating Greg’s in there but we was ordering Costa as well and the way we was approach twice was not professional and he was very undermining and in consequence we ordered our three coffees and sat elsewhere he told us we couldn’t even sit with a coffee because we all had a sausage roll from Greg’s completely disgusting and embarrassing. This ‘guard’ or ‘manager’ a white male bald and tall. Something should be done about this .

This morning, I bought coffee from costa market street Manchester, I made a snap story which usually do. Security guard start shouting on me in-front of people. Because I m Asian. And he was on my head until I step out to the shop. In 7 pounds I bought coffee water and embarrassment.. cheers

Clean counter area, friendly cashier, decent coffee. Toilets were clean. Not the quickest service but at least the queue keeps moving. Good location next to the Market Street tram stop.

Very poor I felt like cattle quing, then to discover that that the tea came in a cup and not a pot. This must be the only Costa not to provide Tea Pot's. I still paid the same price though but i usually get two cup's out of a pot. Is this a sign of things to come from Costa shrinkflation. Starbucks does the same but always has done. So if this is things to come , I have now, no need to look for a Costa but just go to a Starbucks if one comes first.
