K.M.M.A. Freestyle Martial Arts Academy

An absolute must for anyone interested in taking up kickboxing or self-defence but unsure of where to start. Especially any women looking to arm themselves with defence tactics that can be used in dangerous situations. Everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming in classes and if you’re not already learning and improving from Mukta, Karl, or the team’s guidance, the people you meet will be just as helpful in improving your martial arts abilities. Definitely recommend the women’s class on Tuesdays or the family class on Saturdays as a starting point!Thank you so much for giving me a passion and comfort in kickboxing guys! ❤️- Lulu

My Gransden joined after no longer enjoying karate. The classes was fun and also gaining experience. He started on orange belt and worked his way to purple belt. I informed Karl he was getting bullied at school. Karl worked it into the class what to do in these circumstances without mentioning my grandson. My grandson also had private lessons to give him more confidence in himself I would recommend this group to everyone no matter age there is something for you. Unfortunately my grandson left so never went on to gain other belts. Wish Karl n the team the best of luck. Xx

Karl at KMMA is an excellent teacher! He runs a great class for adults and kids. After two sessions my confidence skyrocketed and it changed my outlook on daily life. He also is an excellent teacher for kids and does amazing work for the community.

Been bringing my son here for about 2 months now and he looks forward to the weekly session. His sisters have also joined and Karl has been very accommodating with helping them join the family class.Lovely team they have who are very welcoming.Great location little far from where we are but I drive to we will go the extra mile. Only downfall is it is at the top of the building with no life so carrying a car seat upstairs and back down is my workout for the day lol.Easily recommend this activity with children of all ages.

We’ve been coming for a while now to the Monday classes and the Friday self Defense classes. We love it and can only recommend it to anyone and especially kids. We’ve been coming with our four year old. The children in the class are very supportive to each other and new children are always made feel very welcome! Not only do the children learn useful skills like being able to defend themselves, but they are also being taught values like respect and not to misuse their learned skills! Karl his wife and the instructors are doing a great job with their work!

Karl has helped me in supporting young people who have experienced a difficult start to life (almost 3 yrs). His discipline, method and consistency has helped them in their personal life through KMMA and self defense, supporting their confidence and self esteem. Being part of a community and the loyalty displayed by Karl has been amazing, I can't share how dedicated and committed he is to the young people and what he shares. Thank you Karl.

This is an amazing place that brings people of all ages and abilities together. If you are interested in getting fitter and healthier then I would highly recommend it. Karl is dedicated to his craft and a wonderful teacher. Mukta is highly gifted and offers a variety of classes from yoga, meditation and martial arts for women. I’m so glad I found this gym.
