I can’t say bad enough things about this accommodation. Wifis terrible. Had to buy the toaster and kettle for the flat. Had to live without water for a couple of weeks. The reception doesn’t communicate with the people living in the flats. We had a broken microwave and requested it be fixed. The team didn’t fix it for a good month and a half. We were told we were entitled to ask for food but when we asked we were told we could not. The whole team is so inconsistent with everything and it makes being a student much more stressful. A complete joke as an accommodation and would not recommend at all. The fact prices are going up next year is absurd as well!

Great for new students wanting the quieter side of University life (just make sure you say that on the application when going for shared flats) - close to everything, a reassuring 24 hour reception, and a single occupancy studio in years 2 and 3 can really be a great start to I dependant living.

Amazing staff. Very clean and safe. Amazing location. A few mins walk to shops/bars etc. It offers great amenities like social space with pool table and ping pong table and a big TV, study area, gym, bike storage, in-house housekeeping and TVs in communal flats. It offers studios and shared apartments. It has 24 hour security and fobs to get in-so it is safe. All smart TV has Netflix, Youtube, etc. All the bills are included. Loved my accommodation and Liverpool. Lived here for 3 years. So much to do in Liverpool. Great city. :-) <3All the nursing students can request to be put together if they want. Got a brilliant present from them to thank all NHS student nurses working during the covid period. #Happy. <3

IF YOU ARE A STUDENT DO NOT LIVE HERE!There is a much better accommodation just across the road. The staff lie and randomly walk in your room without inspection emails or warning. Always smells and the daytime staff are useless.

Staff are friendly enough and make you feel welcome, but suspect they're subject to unhelpful company policy, so their hands are often tied. Lifts are often out of order, which is a nightmare the further up the building you live. Necessities such as toasters, kettles, vacuum cleaners etc. are not included so don't expect any of those. Dust in the building is a major issue, I was often finding myself vacuuming twice a week due to the layers of dust that would blanket your room. Blinds do not keep out the light properly in the morning. Automatic doors often breaking. Circuit Laundry is also the provider for washing facilities with Student Roost, so you'll find that you could be paying anywhere between £3.30 and £4.40 dependent on how well you want your clothes washing. I also had a leak in my ceiling which had caused the paint to flake away and the plasterboard above to start sagging. Woke up on a number of occasions to puddles of water on the floor of my room as a result. When I complained about this, I was told it wasn't an issue outside of rainy weather. In summary, if you're desperate then this may do, but otherwise be aware of what you're getting for your money.

This is an excellent student accommodation. The location is perfect for my son but what makes this so special is the staff. They are all incredible. Nothing is to much for them. For the first time away from home for any student I can't recommend this place enough.

You may as well save your money and go live at Marybone which is just up the street and equally as close to all the uni buildings. As many of the reviews say dust is a massive issue here and your room gets covered in it constantly. The rooms themselves are tiny, and the shared kitchen comes with nothing. No toaster kettle or anything. I’ll give credit where it’s due, after the oven breaking it was replaced with a brand new one within a week. The doors are really heavy and can wake you up easily, as when someone closes it your whole room moves. The lifts are ok in my experience, but it is annoying when you have to walk down during the fire alarm, which is quite often during the start of uni. Morning staff are very helpful, however the evening/night staff usually hide in reception on their phones and pretend they don’t see you. Washing machines here are awful, however that is not the accommodations fault as it’s owned by another company. Once had a receptionist walk into my room without knocking or anything, and complained about this but nothing was done. Would not recommend

Wifi has been terrible, can never connect/stay connected. Flat has been a building site for months, leading to not being able to cook/do uni work in my flat due to noise. Water is always off/cold. Only good thing is the location. Waste of £160 a week!

This student accommodation is massively over priced. I payed just under £150 a week to live here, the rooms are incredibly small, there is nothing provided whatsoever. No hoover (they have 6 in reception between hundreds of rooms which go missing at the beginning of the year and never return), no toaster, kettle, mop, brush. Nothing. The furniture was worn beyond belief from the day of arrival, walls covered in marks that they leave there and then take out of your deposit at the end of the year for ‘leaving marks on the wall’. The water in the building is awful, I had to clean the shower head and walls at least once a week as a black residue would build up on the shower head and around, I ended up replacing the shower head eventually once the residue had built up to the point where water would not come out of it. The building is incredibly dusty, everyone in my flat was permanently coughing and ill due to the dust. We later found black mould in the flat which was probably causing most of the coughing (photos attached). I had to personally provide a hoover and all other necessities for living out of my pocket despite already paying £150 every week to live in Byrom point in an effort to keep the flat as clean and healthy as I could. Almost every week the water would get turned off or something of that description e.g no hot water. Before the end of the tenancy we had people coming in and out of the flat and our rooms as they pleased, often without knocking. This was because of an ungodly amount of construction/ renovation that was being carried out around the building, we spend the best part of the last 2-3 months living in Byrom point with absolutely zero privacy. We hadn’t checked out so I don’t understand why these people were under the impression they could just wander in and out as they pleased. With Moorfields down the road with all necessities and big rooms etc, it’s a much better accommodation for £30 a week cheaper than Byrom point. Just go there.
