My favorite place in the world! The sand is pristine with loads of shells for the collector. My favorite has to be the sea potato with it's fragile round shell. Views of sky and the town of Gairloch are gorgeous rain or shine but I highly recommend going at sunrise or sunset for the maximum wow factor. Fires are allowed on the beach but please be careful to cover it up afterwards. Doggies are free to run and play in the sea. Great for families!

Stunning wee beach with little coves (when the tide is out). The fog (harr) can blanket the beach one minute and be gone the next. Friendly people, quaint cemetery and a cafe next to the car park.

Gairloch Beach (Gaineamh Mhòr)
Very pretty beach, spotlessly clean. Golden sands and dunes. If you want pebbles and shells don't bother it's just sand. There's a decking walkway giving access for wheelchair users and a pay to use public toilet. The scenery is spectacular. There's a short coastal walk to Charlestown , about 1 mile for a general store, cafe and pub , plenty of parking for the beach and it's free.

As vast as it is beautiful, you can spend a few happy hours at this beach. There is good parking which is free and it has very easy access. One thing though the weather can change very quick you can start out in lovely sunshine and soon be caught in a shower of rain, so be prepared!!

Plenty of parking and a great beach for the family to visit. A great little cafe at the gold club too, open to none players.
