Quirky little arcade with small businesses: vintage clothes, books, shoes and wedding stationery

This is a 141 years old small Victorian shopping arcade lying between High Street and Silver Street, Leicester. It's a hidden gem as it's very easy to walk by without venturing within to sample it's delights. It has an eclectic mix of that retail rarity these days: small independent retailers. They comprise: an antiquarian book and print seller, a vintage clothing boutique, a music event ticket retailer, a quirky vintage/retro footwear retailer, a retro and vintage items retailer and Tin Fish Shoes to name a few.The frontages of the Arcade's buildings themself present a curiosity - on the High Street side it shows the date 1931 but on the Silver Street side it shows the date 1877 but it seems improbable that it took 54 years to complete so there must have been some redevelopment in the 1930s on the High Street side I presume.Take a moment to wander the short distance away from the nearby Highcross shopping centre to visit here and I don't think you'll be disappointed!
