Derby Motorbike Training

Passed Mod 1 and Mod 2 with DMT in February, both on first attempt. Jim is a great teacher with a patient and relaxed approach. The pace of lessons always felt right and helped build confidence prior to taking my tests. Great fun and highly recommended.

I went from never riding a motorbike to passing Mod 2 on an unrestricted bike. Jim is an excellent instructor who taught me at exactly the right pace. He reads where you are at, explains what you need to do and then takes you to the right place to practise. As for DAS unlimited Jim is patient and doesn't put you forward for tests until you are ready.Trust me - it's worth it for the cornering lesson!

I did my CBT here (Oct 2018). The instructor and owner (Jim) made the course very enjoyable, he was patient, calm and very reassuring throughout the whole day. I would highly recommend this course for anybody even with no previous experience of riding, like me.The gear and bikes were in great condition and the venue was spacious. I will certainly be coming back here to do my full test soon.

Did my CBT and got my full motorbike license with Jim's excellent teaching. I wasn't the fastest learner, but I'm very grateful to Jim for being super patient with me. He makes sure to correct you on every mistake that you make, repeatedly until you get it right. I can highly recommend Jim if you are looking for motorbike lessons in Derby.

As a non-rider James's approach and patience has been exemplary.The one on one tuition from his unlimited DAS option was invaluable and James never pushed me to my Part 1 & 2 DAS test, but knew when I was ready.James has is not just an instructor but takes the time to understand what you want out of riding and is always happy to provide advice/guidance.I am more than happy to recommend DMT as a place to learn to ride, because James will make you a safer and better rider rather than just numbers through the door.

A big Thank You! to Jim.I been given a CBT training as a present after expressing my wish to learn how to ride motorbikes.A total beginner, been only few times on the back of a motorbike with my boyfriend.As my training started I was feeling terrified behind the brave mask and nearly give up when Jim stepped in.He guide and comfort me through out the day, show me different technique which he knew from experience will work for me. Never believed someone can read you like an open book when you are scared.Passed my CBT after a couple of visits, big achievements for someone which can barely stay on a push bike. Jim is a brilliant instructor, patient but supportive in developing you as a rider. Pushed me to achieve what he knew I was capable of and I subsequently progressed quickly. Was very flexible and worked around my busy work schedule to accommodate lessons/tests to suit me. I passed first time on both Mod 1 and Mod 2 with no faults which is credit to his teaching and coaching.

Jim the instructor is a very nice person who isn't just about to take your money but is there to teach you he told me very Early in my training that I wouldn't need alot of training and that's how it went and I passed first time on my mod 1 and mod 2 with no minor faults.Highest recommendations from me.Thank you for making me a safer rider all-round
