The steak was cooked nice altho smaller than expected and I would have liked the usual mushrooms, tomotoe and onion rings rather than the served veg of carrots brussels and cabbage which doesnt really go with it but I had them because I was still hungry after eating the steak and chips on the plate

Excellent experience from arrival to departure. Tobias,our server was great, very attentive, and made experienced suggestions for our meals. Lovely atmosphere in the Inn side, didn't go to the pub section . Very nicely maintained interior in a great old building. We had mains and puddings, all fantastic quality well prepared, we loved the veggies on the side to share. I had the Manhattan stack for pudding and it was amazing; beautifully rich and not too sweet.Definitely recommend, will be back

Went as a walk in last minute and they accommodated us, we had a server and a lovely table, food was amazing and the service was brilliant!

Went Wednesday 13th lunchtime with friends, we booked a table for 1 30 as they couldn't fit us in at 1pm, we were still waiting for starters at 2.10pm even though we pre ordered and one friend had to be home by 3.30pm! The head waiter wasn't helpful but the waitress was very helpful once we had the food so apart from over strong garlic mushrooms the food was lovely and good value!

My wife and I braved the torrential rain to have lunch. We both had Ham, egg and chips. The lunches arrived very quickly and we immediately noticed that the chips were very undercooked, looked white and were very hard and the ham looked as though it was sweating. The best part of the mealmwas the small portion of side salad. I informed the waiter that we were not very happy with the quality of the food and he said he told the kitchen. There was no reaction from the cook or anyone for that matter. No one seemed bothered that 2 meals had been delivered that was of such poor quality.We will never return to this place.

A lovely family meal, not one complaint from 6 people, great price on the lunchtime specials menu, decor is lovely. Fantastic pub
