Only the tower remains of this church. The tower is in a picturesque graveyard in a pretty landscape. Worth visiting for the location alone.

The surviving tower of the demolished church in Lassington is thought to be a pre-Norman structure built by the Saxons to support the parish of Lassingham. There is an old medieval village not far from the church which has no above ground features but the parish village of Lassingham was reportedly deserted by the time this village existed during the 12th Century.The church itself was demolished in 1975 leaving only the tower standing and a graveyard. When I visited it was massively overgrown. Getting to it is via a private road with a public but narrow path up to the church. There is no parking area. It’s a very imposing structure in a very tranquil area.The tower is now in the caring hands of the Churches Conservation Trust.
