The Meriden Hospital

The treatment and care I received before and during my hospital stay was excellent. Everyone treated me with kindness, dignity and respect at all times. They were equally kind and welcoming to my husband when he visited. Everything was explained thoroughly and clearly to me every step of the way. This was especially important to me as I was very anxious before the operation.The room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable. There was an excellent choice of food and drink which was tasty, fresh and beautifully served.I would like to thank all the staff at The Meridan hospital who played any part in my care for their skill, kindness and efficiency. I felt safe in their hands.

My treatment during my procedure and after was amazing. The Nurses especially Heidi & Sky were fantastic. I suffer with terrible anxiety and after the procedure my nerves were horrendous. I was having panic attacks continuously throughout the afternoon, together with low blood pressure and the effects of that. The nursing team and doctor were so supportive, kind and caring towards me. They made me feel very safe and cared for even when I was very frightened.After I got up unfortunately I had a bleed from my wound. There were nurses and a doctor with me within seconds of the alarm call. They stopped the bleed and help me to calm down. At this point Heidi made the call the keep me in overnight due to the bleed and my nerves. They were so kind as to let my partner stay with me in the room all night and provided her with blankets, pillows and refreshments throughout the night and into the morning. The overnight team were also incredible with me and I was discharged in the morning feeling relaxed and content that I was okay.I cannot thank everyone enough for the care.

The staff and care that they provided has been outstanding. I have been in the hospital for 3 days for a total knee replacement, I really could not fault the level of care and attention to detail from any of the staff, from the surgeon to the anaesthetist, nurses, physios and wider support staff. The room was great, well looked after and the food was beautiful. Highly recommended

Everything went smoothly and I was treated with great friendliness and courtesy. Had my operation yesterday and I am very pleased with the outcome so far. All the staff were very helpful. Special thanks to Carol and Naz who looked after my every need. My only criticism is that the car park is not really big enough and cars have to queue in the road to wait for a space to become available, so make sure you leave enough time for any appointments. The security gentleman was very helpful though.Thanks Trevor Williams.

Every member of staff was so lovely, helpful and wanted to help. I have never felt more looked after in a hospital setting so thank you. Massive thank you to every Nurse, support worker, physio that looked after me, not forgetting Mr Shah who did an amazing job of my surgery. I am so grateful.

I attended the Meriden for a day case hand operation. The nurses looked after me extremely well. The anaesthetist took the time to discuss the procedure with me and offered me a local block rather than a general anaesthetic which worked extremely well. In the operating theatre all the staff looked after me really well and kept me informed. In recovery the nurse kept a close eye on me and I was soon wheeled back to my room and given a lovely roast beef dinner. After I went home I had some swelling which appeared two days later, so I phoned them up and was invited to come straight back in. On arrival the nurses took good care of me, got the consultant on the phone and re-dressed the wound. They even arranged an extra follow up appointment with the consultant in a few days time. An absolutely first class experience. .

I had a procedure yesterday and I couldn't have wished for better care!! Thank you Carol and Heidi, you were both amazing! Totally professional and extremely friendly and caring. Excellent food and hostess ladies were lovely. Room was spotless. I would highly recommend this hospital, I was looked after throughout. Thank you to everyone who looked after me. Yvonne
