Suffolk New College - Suffolk Rural (Otley)

My son started this September and he is loving it. Doing animal welfare and he meet lots of new friends aswell. Would recommend to anyone.

Lovely competition venue, lots of parking and easy to find.Great for arena hire too with loads of lorry parking.

Terrible place, my son had an absolutely disgusting experience at this college. The staff are not very supportive at all about the students mental health and they have very poor communication skills between staff and parents. My son left after the first term as it was so bad and the course was so basic he could of picked up better knowledge working in a pet shop. Overall a very disapointing experience which has completely put my son off any type of higher education.

Well what can I say, happy memories of Otley college in the mid 1990s? I failed the Post graduate Diploma in Conservation miserably because of my lack of Scientific knowledge. Was I supported, no, but I met some great characters much younger than me. Then years later I moved to Leicester and became a teaching assistant, teaching students in a Secondary school to read for eight and a half years. In 2018, they found out that I was autistic at 52, well I was a little bit odd at Otley college. Now I am in my mid fifties and looking back in time. Life is what it is, there are good and bad times.

We had a lovely day at the open day. Seems like a lovely college with a wide range of options to choose from. It's been added to our list.

Really lovely day out. Very well organised event and well done to facilities for keeping it clean and tidy. It was amazing to see the 2 lambs being born! Can’t wait for Big Day Out!

We went to the Big Day Out this morning. The staff were excellent, the reason for 4 starts is due to the queues that built up for the free activities. All activities were outside and seeing the horses were a big bonus for me, not sure about the kids!

I went here for my college years. I loved it. huge selection of courses to choose from, I really enjoyed being at this college

It wasn’t the best college. The only things that are good here are the food, friends and the trips out. This college is a rip off without a lot of support. They blame students when they go through hard times. There was only one teacher that I liked here. I got followed about by staff and nobody wanted me to be myself. If you want to be miserable go to Otley college!
