The best bubble tea shop I've ever been to. Delicious drinks and desserts, fresh ingredients, cute packaging, friendly staff. The place is cozy and clean as well. Will definitely recommend it!

Very disappointed. I have been going there for three years. Their milk tea hasn’t gone any better these years, and the crepes are over priced. I tried their new dish today, spicy noodles mixed with some meat products and veggies, the box is only half full and two pieces of each tofu, meatballs, shrimp balls, mushroom, and veggies, basically it’s mostly noodles. I can’t believe I paid 16 pounds for such little food!!! Also, their place gets messier than before, sitting there and eating with tons of boxes surrounding you is just uncomfortable. Please tidy up your place a little bit and improve your food and drink menu if you want remain open! I understand this is a family business that’s why I go their and support them but this is just can’t get more disappointing. I will never ever go back to this place again I am afraid.

best boba in newcastle! it’s a little bit on the expensive side compared to bubble cha next door but i think this is more than made up for with their loyalty card system (a reward on every 3rd drink, including 2x free topping, half price drink and a free drink). their range of flavours, toppings and drink types is great and i absolutely love the atmosphere. the customer service is absolutely amazing too - the lady who runs it is an angel. it’s a little small on the inside but this is only ever an issue around the time kids get out of school. they also serve fresh food including bubble waffles, desserts and even fried rice and other hot meals as well as selling snacks, fruit and cheaper drinks from the shelves. definitely one of my favourite places in newcastle, everyone should try it out!!

I am a regular customer and usually visit at least once a month. After completing a full loyalty card (and almost halfway through my new one) you can definitely assume this is my favourite boba place in Newcastle. After trying out a few other boba places prior to this one, I definitely think that JOYO Handmade stands out due to the endless options and good prices, I also love their loyalty programme which definitely keeps me coming back with their great offers. I am really happy with the quality of their boba, their pearls soft and chewy with a little bit of a bite. What stands out about this place is that they hand out fortune cookies with each boba order which is a lovely touch. What keeps every experience interesting is the ability to customise each order, with some of the drinks they can be quite sweet, so don't be afraid to experiment with sweetness levels. On average, I recommend a sweetness between 70%-50% and the taro milk tea is very delicious- I always recommend this one to those trying boba for the first time. Recently discovered the red bean milk tea which is definitely underrated, please try this with 70% sweetness, less ice, pearl boba and coconut jelly. If you're looking for a reliable boba place, definitely check out this one.

We LOVE Joyo's handmade. You can really feel the family passion for the business from the staff that work here. It feels like home to me here and I always feel safe and happy when visiting. You can also see how many others really love the place through the sticky notes all around the place. Bubble tea is top quality here as well as the food and the things they sell next door. Would highly recommend coming here if you are looking to get some bubble tea in Newcastle :))

Definitely the best boba shop in Newcastle. Very fast service, never a queue, and they take cash. I’m not an expert on boba but I think their prices are good and the drinks are good (the prices are better than other places, although £4.50 for a medium drink does seem expensive) I visit it very regularly with my friends, the only thing I find off about it is that it sometimes smells a bit bad, but nothing terrible.

Nice bubble tea with quick service but the shop looks like a storage cupboard with boxes all over the place. Not much seating either
