So Choir! Wakefield

I don't usually write reviews but felt that I just had to on this occasion. Attending SoChoir (Social Choir) on a Tuesday evening is just the best fun. I cannot say that I have a particularly good voice and singing on my own I know many would echo that but I was welcomed warmly and with the group of other enthusiastic singers who have now become firm friends; collectively we make an awesome sound. The song range we tackle is really varied and current and each song's arrangement is learned in one evening/possibly two at the most so you never get bored. Our ever enthusiastic leader Nic Slack arranges the songs and puts all the hard work in to make sure we always have a good time and a laugh. I would totally recommend anyone just coming along one evening to join us; I might even buy you a drink!

I joined this local choir 4 years ago after my husband died. I went on my own and it was easy to do. It is the most sociable choir I have ever joined. Fun, laughs and great harmonizing guaranteed. New forever friendships formed.

Loved So Choir in Wakefield! My friend and I went along one Tuesday night to see if we enjoyed it. We were blown away!We were made to feel very welcome by Nic and were soon chatting to other people kn the group.Nic was an excellent, talented leader and very personable. We couldn't believe how he could produce a fabulous, harmonised song in 1.5 hours.We will definitely return!

I’ve been coming to both the Wakefield and Leeds So Choirs for over a year and love them. We sign great songs, I’ve made new friends and had some amazing times. I don’t think I can sing, but in a group it really doesn’t matter - we always end up sounding amazing. Love it!

Soo welcoming! I had such a lovely night! I will be telling others about So Choir! too and will definitely be back. It's a whole vibe, love it!

Just forget about work for a couple of hours and enjoy having a sing song with talented, helpful musicians and a real friendly bunch. One of the few places you’ll not feel conspicuous attending on your own for the first time! Good people having a good time. Really doesn’t matter if you are tone deaf as Nic will get the best possible sound out of you! Thoroughly recommended.

This us great for anyone who loves to sing even if they haven't got a great voice Different song each week so easy to drop in when you can.Very informal but by the end of the night a great sound is made in 3 part harmony. The whole ethos is to have fun be sociable and sing some great songs. Also get to do some extra things with the bands of songs we've covered. Professional video shoots twice a year. Sessions are run by Nic and Stu very talented gentleman We meet in bars so what's not to like. Give it a go you wont regret it!!!

Really fun and inclusive singing group!! The leader, Nic, couldn’t do more to make me feel welcome, same goes for the members! I will definitely be coming back, this is just the kind of group I’ve been looking for :))
