Calwich Under Canvas

Enjoyed a fantastic weekend in the amazing yurts to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday with our children and grandchildren. Accommodation was above what we expected, very spacious yurts, comfortable beds and table and chairs as well as outdoor furniture. We had rain for hours one day, so when not in the hot tub, there was plenty of room for games etc and activities to occupy the children. WeThe site is beautifully kept, plenty of room, (in fact we held a mini sports day one day) with the very high quality toilet and shower block, probably the best we have encountered in over 40 years of camping. Very spacious and well stocked modern kitchen.Everyone enjoyed the hot tub, helped by Jason’s attention to make sure it was warm and ready to use whenever we wanted it.Overall, we couldn’t have asked for more. Jason was welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, and we all appreciated the generous complimentary breakfast. A thoroughly fabulous weekend, perfect for the mixed ages ( from 3 to 70)

Girlfriend and I had a great stay in clover yurt, would definitely recommend! Facilities excellent, yurt beautiful and Jason was very attentive.

We stayed for two nights in Forget-me- not, the stay was amazing and we had beautiful warm sunshine all weekend unbelievable. The entire venue was perfect from start to finish amenities were spotless, l would recommend this as a tranquil and peaceful place too stay and get away from the busy pace of life. I must mention the owner Jason Smith what a lovely gentleman nothing too much trouble through out our stay, and the hot tub just perfect, we had a fabulous time, can't wait too come back. Fantastic place! Jason was very helpful and hospitable, facilities were amazing. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in a yurt! Hot Tub was ready to roll and the toilets and showers were clean as a whistle. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

My second weekend away at Calwich was every bit as special as I remembered, and more.The facilities are excellent; well equipped and good quality. The yurts are so comfortable with lovely bedding. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are lovely and clean. Plenty of cupboard / fridge space and a huge range cooker. They really have thought of everything.We had warm weather so spent long evenings outside, in and out of the hot tub, which Jason kept warm for us. He really can’t do enough to make your stay a pleasurable one.There’s a bus stop right outside, we took a bus to the Duncomb arms, 3 minute ride away!We’re already planning our next visit to Calwich.Thank you again, Team Calwich, we’ll see you next year!

What a great little place to stay for a couple of nights in the countryside. The host is very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Plenty to do nearby, too. Recommended.

An absolutely outstanding experience. The hosts found a great balance between checking on us to see if we needed anything, and leaving us to soak up the experience. Could not compete with the facilities - hot tub, sauna, double need in our yurt, fully equipped kitchen. Not to mention the special effort that was put in for my birthday - champagne, chocolate and decorations. Beautiful. Thank you folks. Can't wait to come back :-)

Took my two girls for the night. Owner was brilliant. Looked after us very well. Had a whale of a time in the hot tub. Followed with fire for bedtime in the yurt. Very clean with great facilities. This is the only way to camp.

Fantastic place. Yurt was amazing, really warm and cosy. Owner couldn't do enough for us. All the facilities were spotless and the kitchen is huge! I'd definitely go back!
