Visited the grave of my great uncle who died in October 1916 during the Battle of the Somme. The cemetery is beautifully kept, not a blade of grass out of place. Despite being next to the road, the small cemetery is quiet and as you look at the neat rows of graves and the fields around you can't help feeling proud and sad at the huge sacrifice given by these 'boys'.A note to visitors, I did not have the use of a car, the cemetery is 10km from any public transport, a long walk, trust me.

We traveled from Luxembourg bringing my Mother to see her Grandfathers grave. On entering we had a feeling of gratefulness to these young men who lost their life’s for our freedom. The cemetery is well kept and tidy surrounded by farmers fields with vegetables being collected whilst visiting Life goes on in this peaceful setting. We will remember and give thanks to all the fallen.

Typical but beautifully presented Commmonwealth War Graves Cemetery in a quiet rural spot despite being only a few minutes away from the A1 motorway. There is at least one pair of brothers laid side by side here; Thomas and James Ducker of the Norfolk Regiment, both killed on 18th October 1916.There is ample parking available next to the Communal cemetery opposite and whilst you're here, think of popping into that cemetery as well. There are 8 rather forelorn WW1 graves here, most of them Royal Flying Corps.
