Steve, Jackie and their wonderful team went above and beyond to make our lovely dads funeral perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for them and their friendly, caring approach was very welcoming at such a difficult time, we knew immediately that they would take care of dad. They eased the pressure of organising such a hard event and for that we will be eternally grateful. Jackie and Steve are the ultimate professionals, combined with their humanity, understanding and endless kindness they gave our Mum the most wonderful and dignified send off. They cared for us as a family and helped us so much along the way helping us plan the funeral that Mum wanted and providing the services that we asked for with SO much respect. I don’t think words will ever be enough to thank Steve and Jackie for helping us to organise a unique celebration of my Nanny Ruby’s life. we had no idea what we wanted to do was even possible, but both Steve and Jackie helped to make our wishes come true, and on Sunday we celebrated my nans life just how we wanted to.From taking phone calls at weekend and out of ‘normal’ hours, to the time spent talking to us about plans and just about nans life, allowing their pull-bearers to work on a Sunday, the smallest attention to details and the small nods of respect which meant a huge amount to our family, and didn’t go unnoticed.Both Steve, Jackie and their staff love their job and it’s shows, they really did go above and beyond to help in every way they could, and we, as a family will always be incredibly thankful and grateful for you both, your family and your business for everything.

My partner passed away unexpectedly in September. From the first time I contacted Jacqui & Steve at Hawden & Burgess they were fantastic. Putting me at ease and so supportive. At such a difficult time for the family, we could not have been in better care. I can't thank them enough for the wonderful send off for Alec and thoughtful memorabilia they purchased for us to remember him. A hard time made so easy.

If me and my family could give Steve and Jackie more than 5 stars we would. Never had to plan a funeral in our lives and the guys treated us like family from the start and are probably the most compassionate people we have ever come across, and made the whole process so much easier for us, I honestly don’t know what we would have done without you guys. I could never thank Jackie and Steve enough for the kindness, care and support we were given from start to finish with arranging my partners funeral which I never expected to be doing ever. Nothing was too much trouble. The personal touches given to make this day a special celebration of Steve's life were just perfect as much as it could be.
