Dr. Barney has given me my life back, I was in so much pain every day, I didn't know how I could carry on as I was.It took about 3 weeks for the treatment to start working but now after 18 months I am just about back to normal pre menopausal health and am enjoying life with my husband as normal. I can't thank her enough.

Dr Barney performed an anterior repair operation which was successful, she also helped me with medication for the menopause. She understands and listens to your concerns and I would recommend her to friends and family.

Dr Olivia Barney completely understood my situation and made it possible for me to have a hysterectomy very quickly which I really appreciated. At consultation appointments I found her to be very thorough in her investigations and her friendly and open manner made her very easy to talk to. It is now 12 weeks after my operation and overall my recovery has been very good, with no major post operative problems for which I am extremely grateful. Thank you Dr Olivia Barney!

Since my early 20’s I’ve been plagued with various gynaecological issues culminating in painful periods, peri menopausal symptoms etc. Having seen other positive reviews I finally pressed to be referred to Miss Barney this year. She is hands down the most kind compassionate Dr I have ever encountered. She takes time to examine you fully without feeling rushed, she explained all of my conditions and recommended a full hysterectomy this summer. Both her, the spire team and her secretary Gemma couldn’t have been more supportive during my consultation, operation and recovery. I cannot thank Miss Barney enough for her personable, caring and reassuring approach and her second to none care of me.

I was brilliantly looked after by Dr Barney, throughout my hysterectomy. From our first consultation, where she re-assuringly understood my symptoms, expressed a likely scenario and managed my expectations of what was to happen, to my follow up appointment after surgery, 4 months later, which given we were in the middle of a pandemic, I thought was amazing. My scar has healed perfectly and I feel a million times better than pre surgery. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Barney.

I had a full hysterectomy and ovary removal. Dr Barney was fantastic in listening to me and then explaining my options and helping me decide the best course of action. I had some issues with my insurance company and Dr Barneys secretary Gemma was fantastic in taking control of it and sorting it out for me. All staff I dealt with at the Spire Leicester hospital during my stay were wonderful. It makes such a difference to receive the kindness and care I did, would highly recommend to any ladies experiencing any gynaecological issues.
