My Local Dressmaker Akua made me feel very special with what she made for me on my birthday. She was very friendly, professional, and I had no disappointment on the day. I loved it sooooo much and I highly recommend her !!!

Akua Ofosuhene is a wonderful seamstress. She possesses an abundance of creativity, a flare for understanding what you are asking and how you want your clothes to make you feel.She listens and accommodates. She has never pushed me out of my comfort zone but gently guided me sharing ideas.The clothes Akua has designed and created for me to date definitely make me feel confident and dressed to reflect my personality and shine my own light.Akua has also helped me revamp some clothes I have loved in the past at her Make and Mend sessions, these meetings are so much fun. The clothes I took along no longer fitted me or were outdated, Akua has worked her magic on them and me, I have unpicked and stitched, guided every inch of the way as I am a complete novice. I now love these garments as much as I ever did. Recycling is so in vogue I can see why on so many levels. Helping the planet and getting a whole new wardrobe.I can not recommend Akua more. She is so much more than a seamstress.

I absolutely couldn't praise Akua, her wonderful eye, her vibrant imagination and her incredible skill enough - I first used Akua's services when I was looking for a custom outfit for my friend's wedding. The design process was very collaborative and respectful, and she really made my vision come to life.Her customer service is excellent, and you really get so much for the very reasonable price.I am now a customer for life - simple alterations to bespoke outfits, I will run to Akua for any and everything!!

What a dream! Akua is beyond talented. A three piece suit made for my wedding was done so fast and so beautifully, the pattern drafted freehand. Akua also carried out alterations on some trousers for my husband without even meeting him, using only a reference photo she made them fit perfectly! Thank you so much, looking forward to more!

Akua is a rare sensational talent that you don’t meet very often. She is absolutely and undoubtedly the best designer and artisan that I could of met. Her skill combined with her sparkling and joyful personality made the experience something that I enjoyed thoroughly and was truly magical. I had asked for a custom silk top from scratch to be made for me with a very close deadline and she not only delivered the top exactly on time but went above and beyond making sure everything was tailored to absolute perfection. I have not owned such a beautifully tailored garment and is something I’m over the moon to be able to wear such a special piece. I will be back time and time again and have recommended to all my friends. I cannot stress how much I recommend Akua and her talent, she is one of a kind.Thank you Akua, you are spectacular! (:
