Perfect service to make the moving transition as smooth as possible. Lydia was extra helpful in resolving minor issues and went above & beyond to ensure I was happy. Would recommend, especially to Uni students in a shared house.

Terrible agency. Please please avoid at all costs!! I was going to rent a property by these guys when I was in my first year of uni but the uni do NOT recommend them. I went to have my contract checked at the university and they highlighted so many red flags so I decided not to go with them. However, many of my friends went with them and they for sure regret it now! They ignore emails, they charge you for “damages” and “cleaning fees” even when the place has been left spotless. They are rude and just do not care about their tenants at all. I don’t know a single one of my friends who have managed to get their deposits back either. I could say so so much about this place!! Please AVOID!

The door was locked when I arrived, but I could see people in side. I was signaled to wait as she was on the phone. I did for 5 minutes in the freezing cold. I was let in and immediately inquired if they had had any trouble. The reply was, no but it stops people coming in and letting in the cold. They did not get my business.

One of the worse Agency I have known. They never get back to the emails I send them about damages to the property. They try and take half of my deposit accusing me of damages and cleaning of the property… wouldn’t recommend students to go with this agency!!!

We can not fault the agency and the staff! They looked after us from start to finish while applying for our home.We were responded to very quickly when we had questions, waiting no longer than a few hours, if that.When viewing houses they helped accommodate our viewing times to suit us where they could.They were always absolutely lovely to us and very friendly. A lovely experience considering moving house can be very stressful for various reasons.

From my research in finding the right accommodation over the years, Black Pear Lettings agency is an agency who provides the best services for students and professionals as well. They build their good reputation through integrity, commitment and dedication. There is always someone available at their office to answer your questions, always someone to help you and guide you.5+ stars from me :)A student.

Their lack of response after wishing to proceed with the tenancy after viewing is incredible! I had vistied a property for 1 of their 2 studios for a viewing at 4pm with Blackpear. This was only their available time for that day. So I can only inform them the next day of my choice. The next day I rang them to say which choice I wanted to proceed with and they said yeah that’s fine — not telling me it was already taken or anything — the lady on the phone says “Email us your choice, preferred tenancy start date etc.” to proceed to the next stage. If I had to email, what was the point of me calling then? Was a verbal notice not enough? So I did what I was told. 24hrs later, I get a response from the Director, Kayleigh. I’m told that its been taken as the tenant wants to extend their tenancy. But I was told by the person who had showed us around, Craig, that this particular studio was in fact vacant, and the other was in use so we couldn’t see the other studio. I get told lies!Then miraculously the other studio gets taken too so I’m out of options. I get offered an ensuite at 4pm, towards their closing time. Lucky me! Another 24 hr wait and not started the application process yet.2* from me, they take ages to reply and don’t even help you on the phone!!! Lack of communication. Then no wonder why your choices get filled up!Looking at these poor reviews though, looks like I was saved!

Great company to deal with. Communication has been great from Lydia and Kayleigh whenever I have had any queries. All of the BP staff have been lovely and very welcoming whenever I have dropped in the office or called them.

Not even worth 1 star. They are the most rude, lying scheming company I have ever encountered. They should be ashamed of themselves. stay away, they will try and take extra money every step of the way then lie to enable them to keep the deposit
