Rocheid Path

A beautiful section of the Water of Leith Walkway. Lots of wildlife and plant life. Peaceful. When I visited again in early April there was lots of wild garlic and the air smelt wonderful.The path also has a rich history. The land that the path is on was donated by the Rocheids, a rich family, at the turn of the twentieth century. As you walk along the path you also get excellent views of the Stockbridge Colonies, rows of uniform houses build in the nineteenth century for the capital's artisan workers.
