Monks Cross Shopping Park

Hadn't visited for three years, what a surprise to find loads of empty shops, not just small ones some of the larger shops empty. Seemed to lots of tacky cafes and phone shops. The whole place looks run down.

Big, reminds me of shopping in North America. Ample parking but very busy, might need to drive around a bit to find a spot. The Cinnabon in ASDA was great.

A large retail park with a number of well know high St shops. Good selection of food & drink options. Plenty of parking & a good local bus service from the adjacent park & ride links into York Town centre. Several petrol station ⛽ options & EV charging facilities in the park & ride car park.

Decent shopping centre. Plenty of variety; Decathlon, Sports Direct, JD Sports, WH Smith's, TK Maxx, Boots, Primark, New Look, Schuh, Clarks, River Island, Hobby Craft, Card Factory, B&M (opening October 2023) and a few more.They also have a few food places; Costa, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Greggs, Burger King.Nearby is Asda, Sainsburys, McDonald's.

A great place to shop with everything from Primark to Asda also loads of eating venues as well and a small play area for youngsters. B&M bargains has just opened with some very special opening prices which should not be missed. There is something for everyone at Monks Cross. Couplands is great for coffee and a pastry. Sports Direct or JD for shopping.

Visited the new B&M..... absolutely brilliant. Only drawback is the trollies are a bit away from the store. You will need one and around an hour and a half to get around this amazing store. Asda next door and Primark on the other side. Too many other shops to mention but on the whole a good place to visit with something for everyone

It's ok if you like designer labels.Clue is in the name though,right. Not as cheap as it used to be.But that's everywhere I suppose.The food Hall is good though.Nice and clean and pleasant to walk around.Need a converse shop,now that would be awesome!

Lovely the shopping area especially TKMax. Not good if your in a car & have to clock watch all the time, if you want to go eat or drink.!! Buses are frequent makes it a good day out.
