Black Opal Tattoo

Black Opal tattoo is an extremely professional, efficient and friendly business, ran by two very compassionate and hardworking individuals. I have had a few tattoos from different artists and studios over the last few years and never had a poor experience, however as much as I respect the profession and industry entirely and understand how hard being a tattoo artist is; I have never stayed loyal to a specific artist as I’ve never been overly impressed with anyone’s work or work ethic.That is until I met Amy and Sam. I first messaged Amy during the start of the pandemic to start sorting a sleeve for myself, after falling in love with her style and some of her previous pieces of work. From the offset, Amy was extremely helpful, willing and supportive with booking me in, advising me and arranging designs. Sam was also very friendly, informative and helpful throughout the process and I therefore felt more confident than nervous for my fat sitting. On the day, Amy not only made me feel comfortable and reassured, but she is such a personality and definitely a friendly face that you would want to be tattooing your body. The entire day super clean, efficient, quick and overall a fun experience. Amy finished my entire sleeve in the day and helped so much with aftercare advice. I will definitely be returning to Black Opal for any other tattoos I wish to invest in in the future. I definitely highly recommend Black Opal and I’m excited to see it expand and grow even more.

Got my first tattoo by Heidi last year. She was so lovely and helped to calm my nerves massively. The atmosphere was relaxing and everybody was very friendly. I felt very welcomed, especially with it being my first time along with an anxiety disorder. Will definitely be coming back again!

Nice tattoo... Made mistake on one of my children's DOB.. Senior artist has attempted correction. Was made to feel like an inconvenience told how it was a 10 min fix.No big issue.Mistakes happen.Artist felt really bad apparently.I wouldnt have known as she didn't even acknowledge my message till the next day.No offer of money back or even voucher for the mistake.Asked senior Artist to bodge it the best she could then left.I tried to explain how I felt.. Felt unheard and disregarded.Have to say gentleman behind the desk was lovely.

Great experience from first contact through to completion. I had to be moved a few times due to lockdowns but the communication was great.When I did get in the design was amazing, Amy was really professional and put me at ease straight away. Everything was really clean and all covid measures in place.I’m really pleased with my tattoo and would highly recommend Black Opal to anyone

I’ve had 2 sittings with Amy now and I am seriously impressed.From initial messages with Sam who did the booking and kept me informed of any cancellations to the actual sittings with Amy the whole experience has been outstanding.The studio has got such a professional and family atmosphere and is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised.Once again Thankyou Sam, Amy and the whole black opal team for an amazing experience and unreal artwork.Cameron
