Although we should not rate religious places as they are supreme.. however these ratings are for Gurudwara caretakers. I am appalled by the treatment my parents received there, my 65 years old mother who practiced Sikhism and visited 100+ Gurudwara including Golden temple was scolded by Gurudwara caretaker and even threatened to call police for just touching Sukhmani Sahib path from almirah..She is so paranoid by whole experience that she said she will never visit any Gurudwara in UK..I hope these caretakers still follow true teachings of Shri Guru nanak dev ji and treat everyone equally..

As tourists from India, me and my family decided to visit Gurudwara near our hotel in Croydon for Darshan and Langar. But the lady serving the Prasad, refused to give one more chapati by saying that 'it is for others'.While on the other hand, were serving freely extra chapatis to all others in front of us (may be local residents of Croydon). I have never seen such type of difference while distributing Prasad in my life in any Gurudwara .Gurudwara is a sacred place , where the treatment is same for all. But, here it was different experience. Langar is served properly to only known friends and relatives .Very humiliating experience. .

One of the ladies from the Langar Hall caretakers team is extremely rude. My son was taking a glass for water but maybe from the wrong place, but she spoke rather inappropriately. He is just 8 yrs old and was very hurt by her words. Being in Gurdwara, i didn't say anything. The women there seem to behave as if they own the Gurdwara. They should understand they are doing Sewa that too willing. they definitely need to be more humble.

Relatively small car park on site at the Gurdwara therefore be prepared to fund alternative parking on busy occasions. The members of the Gurdwara are very welcoming regardless of your faith and background. Free vegetarian meal is served each day but kindly abide by the code of conduct in not visiting whilst intoxicated with alcohol or drugs. It therefore goes without saying no alcohol, drugs or near products are allowed on the premises. Also dress modestly and ensure your head of covered at all times as a sign of respect. Sikh lessons and Punjabi classes are also taught to anyone who wishes to learn.
