Just had Sunday lunch here on our first visit. Staff excellent, varied menu. Sirloin ordered pink was extremely pink - delicious and very tender. All food was excellent. It was a little bit cold where we were sitting but that is a minor criticism. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely return.

A quiet Tuesday night didn't help the ambience here but it was pleasant enough despite this. We were gasping for an aperitif but the waiter's promise to return to take a drinks order while we perused the menu failed to materialise and he arrived back eventually to take our food order. Incredible how many times this happens in restaurants. The food was disappointing. Appealing-sounding dishes with great flavours in the sauces and accompaniments were fatally undermined in all three dishes we tried by overcooked central ingredients. Tough flavourless prawns, dry tasteless chicken breast and a large chunk of lamb thoroughly rendered of all succulence and flavour. Frustrating, as it could all have been great.

Went on a steak night. My wife enjoyed hers but it was a bit chewy for me. That's me gold star and I'm okay otherwise a problem other than that bring it on. Service 4* look forward to trying the menu on another occasion.

One of the many restaurants that seem to get a kick out of turning people away. We arrived about 30 minutes before the evening menu started, we were invited to come back later and turned away. The kitchen was alive, equipment running and the floor looked set and ready to go. Why couldn’t the guy just offer us a drink and browse through the menu until they ‘reopen’? That’s hospitable! Or better yet, just close the door so you don’t have to stand around like a fool before someone realises you’re there to tell you to try again later. If all the staff are in and ready, why are they turning people away…Disappointed as was recommended here, but probably won’t be returning. If it was a Saturday, I get it, but a Tuesday? Surely they’d want an extra couple of covers… I hear it’s quiet mid week.We were here for an anniversary meal and quite willing to spend some money, that’s why we came here.

Excellent small restaurant with great staff and food. Will be getting another visit to make sure not a one off :)Had the croquette to start, and blade of beef as main, both very well prepared and presented.Staff were very attentive and eager to help with a friendly cheery attitude.
