Ate here for the 1st time last week. Was looking for somewhere different to try and saw all the good reviews so thought we would book. OMG! we were not disappointed. Decor in the restaurant was gorgeous, staff were friendly and helpful and the food was amazing! We went the whole hog and had poppadoms with chutney tray (nothing watered down like other restaurants), starters were flavoursome and very tasty and main courses were brilliant, everyone had something different and all said it was the best indian food they'd had in a long time! Great atmosphere, fantastic food, so good we've already booked to go again. Thank you soooo much to Jakir and the team, can't wait to return! Cheers Mart, Dee, Donna, Kev.

I was really looking forward to trying the food here because of all the great reviews but unfortunately our meal was a bit disappointing. Maybe it was because we went in late that the food wasn’t so good. Mind you, if you don’t want to serve late then perhaps just close the doors rather than drop the standard. The lamb dish was ok, interesting hint of smoke to it, but the chicken dish lacked any flavour albeit was reasonably spicy. Unnecessarily dyed bright red. I’ll give it another go but will book much earlier next time.

Pretty tasty dishes, but all four main meals served looked quite red.Don't know if the price point is due to its location in Wall Heath, but really I didn't find it good value for money.I've experienced better prepared food at a fraction of the cost here.Staff and service was good, but I always find it a little irritating to have staff interrupting my meal to clear empty or partially empty dishes frequently when talking with friends and eating.

Had the most amazing evening and food tonight at Rajput. Jak has really turned this place into a family friendly restaurant and Jay was a fantastic waiter. Food was absolutely amazing!! We had such a lovely night. Thanks Jak, Jay and the team.

This is a super little licenced restaurant that's deserving of the praise being heaped upon it. It has a very well presented dining area, albeit slightly dim lighting. We were attended to by efficient staff that know what they are doing. To keep this review unusually brief, the food and sides were to our tastes and neither the wife nor I could find fault with anything. What was surprising is that we had a great evening for a lot less than I was expecting.Two months later we returned, the experience and the food was even better than the first time. The sheekh kebab was one of the best in a very long time, the chicken in both our meals was excellent, even the skin on fries were a class above most. The service was spot on.I genuinely couldn't find room for improvement.
