Sussex Solar have been excellent. The initial survey was comprehensive and clear. They were open about the lead-times involved - it’s worth waiting for a quality job. The installation team were hard-working, competent and a pleasure to deal with, as are the office staff.Sussex Solar were not the cheapest quote we received but my judgement is that they are the best value-for-money overall.

We chose Sussex Solar to install a new energy system to replace our gas boiler, comprising 20 PV roof panels capable of generating 6.2 kW, a Tesla 13.5 kWh battery and a Mitsubishi Ecodan 11.4 kW heat pump.From site survey to final installation Sussex Solar have proved expert and highly professional and as a family business easy to work with and with good prices for both equipment and service.The performance has astonished us. From the final installation on 18 March 2021 to date we have enjoyed zero energy bills and earned £240 in electricity exported to the grid. Our energy supplier is Octopus Energy and we have the Tesla tariff which offers 11p per kWh for both export and import from the grid. The system has worked faultlessly, so thank you Sussex Solar for a brilliant job.

Sussex solar finished my 5kwp solar installation just before xmas 2021. I found dealing with Sussex Solar to be simple and pleasant from inception to completion - the office team provided great communications for all my little questions in a very timely manner. Sussex Solar were the only company to respond with a design capable of fitting 15 panels upon the roof of my new build garage, providing a significant increase in capacity to just under 5kwp. As with many new build projects, coordinating suppliers and contractors in these times is a challenge, Sussex Solar were very flexible about fitting in around my roofer, which I very much appreciate. Installation of the in-roof trays and panels (when the day finally arrived), was quick and painless and they were happy to await the final electrical connection before commissioning the inverter and panels. I'd recommend speaking with Sussex Solar to anyone considering PV renewables, I'm very happy with the end result.

We are very pleased with our installation of both PV panels with Tesla powerwall and a Solar Thermal system. The team were very efficient and completed the installation within the agreed time. Andy was excellent in both explaining the system in advance and advising on location of the equipment as well as ensuring we understood how it all worked before he left site. Sussex Solar 5.6kW PV system with 5.2kWh battery: Enthusiastic recommendation and endorsementIn September 2022 Sussex Solar Ltd installed a 14 panel 5.5kW (pk) solar PV system with GivEnergy 3.6kW hybrid inverter and 5.2kWh battery. It went live towards the end of September and over the first week of its operation met more than 80% of our electrical power needs.The positives:• A well proven set of system components: solar panels, hybrid inverter, battery, cabling and smartphone app.• Very good responsiveness to: emails, requests for information, and answers to questions. I approached four possible suppliers for a quote: Sussex Solar were the only ones who responded.• Excellent project management of the whole installation process: scaffolding install; system install and commissioning; and scaffolding removal.• Excellent quality of workmanship, including tidiness• A great set of individuals involved throughout the processNo negatives, but a couple of things to aware of:• They offer a limited number of inverter / battery configurations. This is good as it means that the whole process from design to installation is very smooth. But you may need to make some compromises in your requirements.• You will be given an estimate of the overall peak solar power that your panels will generate. However it will be up to you to work out the economics of what this will mean for your situation.• The application to the local electricity supplier for a DNO / export MPAN is made after commissioning. Depending on the electricity supplier it could be a week / months.

I am delighted with the installation of solar panels, battery and heat pumps by Sussex Solar and I appreciated their flexibility over planning issues and being able to complete the project so swiftly after permission was granted. It was a pleasure to have their expert team in every nook and cranny of the house for two weeks and they left everything tidy and organised. The new plumbing for the heat pumps in the garage is a work of art and the wiring complements it all admirably.

I have had 7kw of solar fitted, EV charger and a Powerwall. Sussex solar have delivered exactly what they promised. They worked closely with our builder to ensure optimal timing of the works. System all up and working and we are effectively off grid over the recent good weather. We actually ended up in credit for last month after being paid for our export. Very pleased.

Sussex Solar installed solar panels for us in March 2023 and a Tesla Powerwall in May 2023. The whole setup has worked flawlessly so far and we are very pleased with it. I would highly recommend Sussex Solar to anyone thinking of installing a solar energy system. The service has been excellent - everything carried out to plan, flexibility in dates to fit around our schedule and great communication about what was happening and when. The guys that came round to do the installation were great - polite, hard-working and explained clearly to us what they were doing and how the system would work.
