White Medical Group, Ponteland

Moved here in preference to Ponteland Medical Group. Standard of service was much better and I have been very happy with consultations with both GPs and Nurses at this practice.

Busy NHS GP surgery serving Ponteland and surrounding district. Offers GP appointments, nurse practitioners, pharmacy and other services including podiatry, ante natal, flu vaccination and public health screening. Friendly doctors with specialties including mental health, obstetrics, child and adolescents. Modern efficient surgery seeing a high volume of patients young and old. Appointments can get booked up a few weeks in advance due to demand. All staff are polite and professional and the surgery has a well equipped environment.

Dr Anwar has been amazing in her genuine care and support of Lesley Tweddle ensuring she received quick diagnosis with exceptional medical treatment. We cannot thank her enough. The reception team are always helpful when we speak to them and always do what they can to help and we also thank them.

The 1 star is for the actual doctors and nurses left working there, as they're doing their best.But the practice is a shambles post-covid. You used to be able to get an appointment the same day, maybe a day or two later. Now even when you call at 8:30am for their emergency appointments they're all gone, and the next appointment is 1 month away? The staff on the phones almost seem smug telling you this, which is really frustrating.We've called before about children and been told: call 111, or go to a walk-in, which you cannot do with a child under 2 years old.The practice manager James Young needs to sort the place out as I couldn't recommend it to anyone in good conscience. Do you not have enough doctors any more, what is going on.
