Wowshee Egyptian Falafel Bar
The pitta was the best part of my Falafel pitta, the food lacked authenticity as it was drenched in oil and was also lacking veg which really accentuates the flavour

I just picked up a Too Good To Go order and it was SO worth it! Amazing food (I had the Falafel Pita and Falafel Mezza Box) and incredibly friendly staff. Thank you Wowshee!

Wowshee Egyptian Falafel Bar
I highly recommend the Wowshee experience and their Falafel in particular. As someone who comes from a family of Chefs and who has eaten Falafel in many countries in the Middle East, the team at Wowshees offer customers a truly unique experience. While the box is tantalising delicious and great value for money, given that everything is fresh and prepared with with a lot of care, the Falafel stands out (I would be so bold as to claim in the UK) for a number of reasons. I couldn't believe what I tasted when I first tried it for lunch this week. After talking with the owner, who is a lovely and sophisticated chap with a great story and who took time out to answer my questions and ensure that I was happy- I was even more impressed. Wowshees, as much as I know, is the only place in the UK that makes fresh fava bean falafel, whereas nearly all other Falafel's in the UK use chickpea. The difference is obvious: Wowshee's falafel is scrumptiously crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The taste is different too: Wowshees use unique herbs and spices that gives the Falafel umami-like taste, which is very moorish. It somehow avoids the dryness and blandness of most Falafel's. Notice how most Falafels are served with lots of salad in a wrap? This is a big no in the Middle East and places like Egypt (the mecca of falfel, known as T'amya), where the sandwich is served in a pita with no salads, except for pickle, maybe a tomato and tahini sauce. Wowshee is clearly and deliberately kept things authentic, while also innovating. I also tried the Scotch Falafel- again, wow-sheeee! Never seen or tasted this before. And they've done it to perfection: the egg ozzed with goodness and gracefully complementing the taste of the Falafel. What's interesting is the attention to detail in everything: the choice of bread, the unique and frankly world shattering Falafels- both plain and Scotch- the colour, bite and smell of the glorious pickles, the texture and color of the halumi..........I wasn't therefore surprised to learn that the owner, Ahmed was a 5* Chef, a Westminster Kingsway graduate and winner of the best Falafel aware in 2019 in Malamo Sweden! Having lived in a household of Chefs, I immediately picked up the skills and passion charaterising the Wowshee experience....having been back a couple of times, I was also impressed by the lovely warm staff, the consistency of the food and passion Wowshee gives to Falafel. It's unusual that this place hasn't got even more attention, given that Wowshee has deliberately avoided the run-of-the-mill Chickpea Falafel in a Wrap hidden in layers of lettuce and salad. If you're looking for a diamond in the rough and noisy bustle of Soho Streets, and want to feel enchanted, even for a few minutes, than you can't do much better, than paying Wowshee a visit. If you're a foody and enjoy different experiences, attention to detail and wonderful food, give this unqiue and novel Falafel a go- Wowshees will definitely become huge one day!

The taste of Egypt on the streets of London! The difference between tamiyya (Egyptian falafel) and other falafel is that tamiyya is made from fava beans and falafel is made from chickpeas. Wowshee’s tamiyya is crispy, light, fluffy, and tastes AMAZING! The bread is fresh and all the fixings make the perfect sandwich. Friendly service. Highly recommend!

Ordered off too good to go, and i got what's in the pic and a falafel pitta, which was really tasty. It's not in the picture cause i demolished it before i thought of taking a pic! Excellent service and really well-made food. Would recommend to anyone looking for a falafel dish.

Best falafel I've had in London! The falafel was very flavourful and had a thin, crispy coating that worked perfectly with the salad and pita bread. The collection process was quick and the staff were friendly. I got this meal on 2 Good 2 Go which was definitely worth the price. I would recommend this place!

Great tasting food for great prices. Very simple and easy menu. The queuing system probably needs to be sign posted better but nonetheless a great experience and would definitely come back! Cannot recommend enough!

This street food spot is pretty awesome, and it's conveniently located next to other food places. I did have to wait a bit for my food, but that's to be expected during peak hours.I had to wait quite a bit until I got my food, but I arrived during peak hour. The food itself tasted great and was also a decent amount. I ate the food at the St Anne's Church, which is a great spot to enjoy your food, and it's conveniently close to the Falafel Bar.
