The Darling Woods of May

Children’s party -girl aged 12 yrs.We took our daughter to this treasure of a spot, for an alpaca picnic party.The couple that own this place are warm genuine and welcoming. They are developing a gem of a spot for camping and as an alpaca experience. They have obviously done lots of research and are creating a haven. They have not scrimped on any aspects and have thought about so many details and special touches. The small toilet on the campsite and shower is small but beautiful. They are clean with lots of personal touches. The alpacas are in a paddock within the camping fields and Sophie and her husband have a lot of knowledge about their small herd (which will be getting bigger in a few months).The location for a party was ideal. The ‘plod’ with the alpacas was a trite delight. Being able to feed the alpacas too. As the two supervising adults, we will probably return for our own time with these delightful animals and spend time at this lovely location again.

Me and my girlfriend spent a wonderful night here with an amazing Alpaca plod the in the morning.The camping area was set in a beautifully surrounded wooded area, complete with a lovely walk around the site, a retro caravan filled with books and board games, spotless toilets/shower, a lovely little on-site shop and of course the 4 delightful Alpacas a stones throw away.Simon and Sophie (Hosts) were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We were welcomed immediately on arrival and shown around the site. They’ve clearly put a lot of love and attention into this place, thinking of all the little details.The Alpaca plod was the best way to finish off our stay, walking the 4 around the site while they grazed and had fun. Both Simon and Sophie accompanied us while offering interesting information and answering any questions we had. We finished off interacting and feeding them.Overall, I couldn’t recommend this place enough! An absolutely amazing experience from start to finish and I’d love to come again.
