WOW! What a highly professional, personable and knowledgeable guy Derek is. I was absolutely blown away with his extensive knowledge, attention to detail and approach to his work today. Even pulled up outside my house early to see him working away outside, before 7am!Being a first time buyer, I'm not very clued up about the whole process but Derek took the time to explain everything to me and how I should plan my next steps.Thanks so much to Karen for squeezing us in at short notice too.This visit from Snag Pro Scotland has been very educational for us and we will highly recommend them to friends and family!

Was recommended Snag Pro Scotland (Derek) from a friend who had recently bought a new house, which Derek inspected, and I was glad I had Derek inspect my house too. As well as spotting all cosmetic and minor workmanship issues, Derek uncovered some fairly serious issues which would never have been found by me, allowing them to get fixed by the builder before things got any worse, or remained totally undetected. Derek was also sharing advice, guidance and what to look for as he went through his (very thorough) inspection which was appreciated. Would highly recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of hiring Derek from Snag Pro Scotland to conduct a snagging survey on my newly built house. I can highly recommend Snag Pro Scotland. Derek attended our house yesterday and take all the time to explain what he was doing, what my rights are and what was wrong. I was surprised to see the outcome, things he spots, particular in roof areas where we normally don’t come. He gave some excellent unrelated tips and the report was ready at the end of the day. Would not blink to use again in the future!

Great service. The doorbell rang at 8am as agreed but Derek had already been round the outside of the house and performed his checks there. He kept us informed of what he was doing and the faults he'd found. He was very thorough and found items that we'd never have found ourselves. Derek found one defect that he said the builder would contest (they did), and showed us where the snag was covered in the NHBC Standards so that we could challenge them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Snag Pro Scotland to anyone wanting their new build home professionally snagged.

What a tremendous service Snag Pro (Derek) provide.We purchased a new-build apartment and Derek spent 6+ hours reviewing it in great detail and found 113 defects. A number of the defects he identified were significant and would never have been spotted by us, such as external gaps above some of the windows, a hidden stack pipe (which carries odours from flats below) loose/uncapped and gaps around the front door & most windows, letting cold air in.The following day, we were emailed a 56 page report describing the issues with photographic evidence which we were able to pass directly to the builders.Derek has immense experience in the building trade and really knows what he’s looking for.The service is tremendous value for money and I can’t recommend Derek and Snag Pro highly enough.

Derek was incredibly thorough, spending around 7-8 hours covering the property room by room, inside and out.He took time to explain what he was doing, the quality of work I should expect from my builder, where the builder had done a good job and where improvements should be requested.The report he produced was very easy to follow and presented in a methodical way and was provided to me only a couple hours after he left.An excellent service all round that I'd highly recommend to anyone looking to get some peace of mind about their new build purchase.

I used Snag Pro for a snagging survey in my new build apartment in Edinburgh. The service I received was quite exceptional from dealing with Karen setting up and amending (at my request) the date through to Derek coming on site on Monday 21 July 2023. Derek on arrival explained the Snag Pro process and was very easy to deal with and answered all questions fully. Derek was exceptionally thorough and identified every issue which requires further resolution with the builders. We were amazed at the level of detail Derek pursued and he highlighted every issue to ensure that we fully understood everything. Derek was here for a full morning and his enthusiasm, dedication and knowledge are second to none when it comes to completing a snagging survey. We were completely surprised when on his departure he said we would get his report that evening. Given that he left to attend his next appointment in the early afternoon, he still stated that the report would be completed when he got home. The report was emailed me to that evening with a very detailed explanation and photograph of each concern. I would thoroughly recommend Snag Pro to anyone moving home as it the best money that I have spent on my buying & selling my property. Good luck and more power to all at Snag Pro.
