Every now and then you come across a place that ticks all the boxes in terms of service, friendliness and value. Moonflower Guitars (Alan and Ming) certainly achieve this and then some!The service and communication throughout was brilliant. Attention to detail first class. They ordered a guitar in for me to try with no obligation. Before I even set foot in the place I was messaged to say that there was a slight imperfection in the guitar but I would be very welcome to come in and try it anyway. I have to say that had the imperfection not been pointed out, I probably wouldn't have noticed it. I decided the guitar was perfect for me, so they ordered a replacement which arrived a few days later (which was perfect). Alan provided a very professional set up (action height etc) and left me to have a 'noodle' around the guitar. Thirty minutes later I was a very happy bunny with guitar, superb case and stand (and one or two little extras). The whole experience was an absolute pleasure, Ming and Alan so knowledgable and friendly. If you are looking for a guitar or accessories, I cannot recommend Moonflower Guitars strongly enough.

I had an altogether excellent experience with Ming and Alan at Moonflower Guitars. They worked very positively with me to organise and complete the sale of an unusual specialist guitar, on consignment. They advertised the guitar through the shop's website and other specialist guitar websites, which resulted in the guitar being auditioned by a discerning player - who then bought it! It was a very smooth process and I was fully confident in Ming and Alan's expertise and high level of customer service and communications throughout. I highly recommend their services; and a visit to their lovely shop in Oakham.

Alan and Ming have a lovely shop with a large number of pretty unique guitars, and it made for a very pleasant buying experience. I wanted to buy a new electro-acoustic so they talked me through the options they had in the shop and, when I booked 30mins to have a play on a few of them later, they'd had them already set up before I arrived - nice and easy! I've since taken another of my guitars for a service (which was very reasonably priced) and it plays better than it has for years, so thanks!

I'm really pleased with my purchase. The guitar was set up to my own preference and given a thorough inspection before being despatched - a new part was even ordered for me. Communication was fast and friendly. I would recommend this place to everybody. Thank you! ☮️

Excellent Service - you won't be disappointed!I purchased an awesome Sterling Majesty from Moonflower guitars back in early March. However, due to Covid restrictions, the guys were only allowed to operate on a click and collect basis.New guitar day is exciting, and I have to thank Ming, Alan, and Jon for making collection day as special as they could under the circumstances.The shop itself looks fantastic! They have worked incredibly hard to get the business off the ground during the lockdown period, and now that restrictions have eased, I'll be heading back for a closer look.If you're interested in guitars, visit Moonflower. They have a fabulous array of instruments, including some bespoke designs. All the owners are talented musicians and certainly know their stuff. Like I say - you won't be disappointed.

Great range of guitars and basses in stock and very reasonable prices. Always friendly and knowledgeable, Ming and Alan at Moonflower have the perfect relaxed atmosphere to try before you buy. Great customer service.

I googled and found an amp that matched my criteria, then somehow came across one being sold by Moonflower. I noticed that the shop was closed on Mondays, but sent a message to say I was interested. I got a reply back on the Monday, which surprised me being closed, paid for it on Tuesday having spoken to Ming, who was helpful, polite and answered my questions, they posted it free of charge on Wednesday, and it arrived well packed and in as new condition today, Thursday. I wish we lived nearer as would like to pop in the store, but all I can say is the service has been brilliant and any future guitar purchase will be my first port of call! 11 out of 10! Thank you.

Found this place by searching for guitar shops in the local area. Saw what I wanted on website, but chose to drop in. Very welcoming, very friendly and a good range to look at and ask about. No pressure sales, just a comfortable and pleasant experience. If you’re up for buying a guitar, having a chat and having friendly experts to ask, this is the place. Unique and professional. What a wonderful shop. We purchased a guitar last May and their patience was endless! We had to take it back this month after we broke a machine head whilst sailing with it. A replacement was done in super quick time, under warranty. Can’t recommend them highly enough. So lovely to have a good quality, independent retail outlet close to home.
