This could be the best takeaway in Beeston if they left the sugar alone. We went here for food about a year ago but had to throw it away as it was so sweet (prawns and mushrooms). We vowed never to go back but unfortunately our usual takeaway is closed so we thought we’d try Hot Wok again. Unfortunately, we’ve had to throw the food away again as it is so sweet it’s like eating syrup - even the chips! I have never experienced this problem with a Chinese meal and am left wondering why they have to use sugar. The food is well cooked and hot but too sweet.

This has always been our favourite Chinese, even when we moved away for a few years if we were passing through we’d try to pop in. Food is always hot and quickly cooked, and staff have always been friendly and helpful.

The chef/owner is a nut job. Completely ruined my wife’s birthday meal by doing chow mein with noodles only. Called and asked to replace. The chef started arguing with me about taking the rubbish back. This place should be avoided by people in the area.

We have tried this place before and ordered chicken and cashew nuts, there were no cashew nuts, they claimed they were too busy and forgot, so we tried one more time and went to collect it, we live round the corner on a boat my husband ordered king prawn curry and it was bearly warm he had a couple of mouthfuls and threw it away, we rang them to tell them and they were not interested, we will never go there again...

My first time at Hot Wok recommended by a friend. It was cooked to perfection and delivered so quick my crispy beef was still crispy and hot. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Their menu have a good selection will be coming here from now on.

A typical Chinese takeaway serving excellent food at a reasonable price. Never had to wait too long and the food has always been well cooked, perfectly seasoned, and generally tastes great.The usual selection of menu items with really good combinations on the set meals list

Online ordering was simple, food ready right on time (try not to arrive early) and the salt & pepper chips and mushroom udon were absolutely delicious! So good we were naughty and ordered again the next day!

Expensive for the quality. The food was poor (overcooked - so the meat was tough and the rice was soggy) but the interactions with the delivery driver and person in the restaurant (who I called) was pleasant enough
