Perfect Aquatics Ltd

I am a school teacher and I set up a 200L tank in my classroom a few weeks ago. It currently has 13 small fish in it. I wanted to increase the stock. I visited today as I was told that they had a 30% sale on tropical fish. I was hoping that I could purchase the fish today, but actually collect them tomorrow after school as I can obviously not access the school during the weekend. I was told that even if I paid for them today, then I would have to take them today otherwise I would not get the discount. Unfortunately for them, they have missed out on quite a large sale as I will be purchasing all of my fish elsewhere now and in the future, even though this is the closest fish place to my school.

Lovely cafe just off the main road. Large car park. Good quality and reasonable prices.

We just visited Perfect Aquatics and bought some bits for our fish tank, when we left the shop we checked our receipt and the guy on the till charged us for an item we did not purchase, we went straight back and told him and he apologised for the mistake, if we hadn't of checked out receipt we would of paid for something we did not buy. Hopefully no one else has had this done to them so always check your receipt.

Visited today for some new 32mm pipe. Better quality than previously purchased online. Visibly thicker and stronger.Great customer service by Ellis. Was very helpful and professional despite being super busy. Credit to the company.

Having started out my tropical adventure a year ago and then upgrading I have purchased everything from this company. Always friendly with great caring advise. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Been shopping here for many years, in excess of a decade. I won’t be returning again as I phoned up with a simple request for help to look at some fecal matter under their microscope and help me identify if there is a parasite. They have a microscope but were not at all open to helping. The person I spoke to didn’t understand and went to ask someone else. That someone else said no without coming to the phone and asking any details. I am not asking them to do scrapings, slides etc, I am just trying to save myself £70/80 on a microscope as a regular customer. I have spent thousands in the shop over the years and will never return again. I’d recommend Advanced Aquarium Consultancy for marine, and Lee Valley Aquatics for tropical / pond. Both are a drive away but they are worth the drive for customer orientated knowledgeable staff who don’t treat customers as an inconvenience, and are honest. As a self employed individual I’m still in shock at how I’ve been treated. Consumer experience is everything

I bought a quardro 70 tank from perfect aquatics , arrived safely and well packed , a really nice tank , i didnt know how to set up the filter , so rang up perfect aquatics and spoke to a really friendly and helpful bloke , he explained to me how to do it , fish tank is up and running now looking forward to adding fish from my old tank into it .

Recently bought 4x platys. I’ve been keeping tropical fish for many years but wanted to double check a few things before making any purchases. The staff were really disinterested in helping. The tanks looked sorry for themselves, lots of dead and dying fish. I ended up only buying a few fish from a livelier tank to see how it went, 2 died within a few days (I check the water quality weekly, it’s fine) and now the rest of my fish have white spot. Will avoid buying from here from now on!
