Sea Training Sussex

Just completed our RYA Level 2 powerboat certificate with STS in Eastbourne this weekend. Our Instructor Mark was absolutely brilliant, such a patient, clam person with an excellent teaching ability. Having been on boats for most of my life I didn’t think I would learn a huge amount of new skills, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. This is a must for anyone wanting to get onto the the water and I’ll be sending my son and daughter next year. Big thanks to Mark and STS for a great weekend, the new condition of the boat and the brand new engine made it a pleasure to drive and learn.. Many thanks, Andy & Aline

Loved the two days with Tim completing the Level 2 Powerboat handling course. There was much more practical work than theory which suited me as I wanted to build my experience of handing a motorboat. Tim was excellent, patient and good humoured. I learnt so much and can’t wait to get going!

We booked a Powerboat Level 2 RYA course with STS, the whole process was informative and a lot of fun. All the information provided was spot on and our instructor (Tim) structured the training perfectly. He gave us a lot of confidence with powerboat handling and his calmness and patience was exactly what we needed. The two day course was superb and we learn't a lot! We highly rate STS to anyone looking for powerboat training/services.

This course was bought for me as a present and it has to be up there with one of the best ever. It was brilliantly taught, absolutely the right length and we got a huge amount of boat time over theory. I couldn’t recommend it any more to anyone looking to do one.

Powerboat Level 2. Our instructor Tim was excellent, highly knowledgeable and experienced, engaging and fun. We had a range of student experience and knowledge and Tim managed the group extremely well through both theoretical and practical activities. Plenty of time was given for hands on training which progressively built confidence in boat handling and being aware of the safe and correct ways to manage a boat under power. I would highly recommend taking this course to anyone considering using a boat under power either as a new comer or as a refresher if you have not been regularly using power boats. The boat was fantastic too, 9m with a 300HP engine!

The Powerboat2 course at Sea Training Sussex was outstanding. It delivered more than I had hoped for. So much key knowledge shared in two packed, but still fun, days. It was a great start in learning how to have a safe and enjoyable time afloat.

A fantastic couple of days completing my powerboat level 2 course. There's a lot to cover in that time but special thanks to Tim our instructor who made the whole experience, including the theory part, fun and interesting. Highly recommended.

Tim at Sea Training Sussex is simply incredible. A wealth of knowledge in both the maritime and aeronautical industries he is an amazing teacher - inspiring, patient, safe, funny and fascinating all in one. Thoroughly recommend all his courses. you will not regret it

Attended the 2 day Powerboat II training course as a first foray into sea boating. Effortless joining process and awesome tuition from an extremely welcoming and knowledgeable Instructor. Very highly recommended!
