The restaurant used to be my least favourite on ilford lane for 6 months from the opening date. Surprisingly it has made a big come back and lived up to its name!!Special charsi mutton karhai, mix grill, nihari, halwa puri, anda paratha, Lahori chane bI would give all these 10/10.Simple karhai is not that good but overall I would rank among the top five restaurants on ilford lane.

It was too noisy in the place some one event was going and it was all so badOverpriced place food was good, but average. They put the water bottle on ur table to add 3 pound for it . I didn't mind it, but it should be our choice if we want it or not.It is not some place i will go again

Staying in east London by whitechapel and after being disappointed by food around us decided to go to Ilford lane and walk the whole street and based on online reviews and look from the outside we decided to give it a try and it was worth it , All the food is cooked fresh to order , Chicken Seekh kabab and Chicken Butt Karhi was the best and it reminded me Lahore food , please try both of these and you will love it , Staff/ Service and atmosphere was also great.

Overrated as far as I am concerned. Ordered a signature Lamb Kerahi, which was edible but bland, didn't look appetising at all, and the remainder got thrown out when taken home. It's not worth the money at all, and the lady I was with ordered a Mojito, which was an absolute joke. Literally mint, water, sugar, and ice. There was no lemon or lime and no traditional mojito syrup. The strawberry shake was pure powder and was not a real strawberry shake or worth the money. The naan was thankfully naan and the masala chips were the best thing on the menu. To add, the restaurant looks nice, but the customer toilets were a joke. It was very off-putting and unhygienic. Toilets and facilities are a real reflection of standards, and the standards, in this instance, were very poor. Will not be returning any time soon. Paid £65 for a disappointing experience.

They have a vast area for the seatings. I thoroughly enjoyed the lamb Karahi, a specialty of the house, along with the delightful garlic naans. My stomach and heart were content. The golgappe was average, and the mango lassi tasted incredibly fresh. Overall, a satisfying culinary experience.Finding a parking space in this area seems a bit difficult. Almost all the time the streets parking is full.

First time here. We had a nice variety of dishes. Channa chat, lamb jalfrezi, bindhi masala and chilli naan. All I can Sat is how have we not been here before. The food is seasoned to perfection. Taste is spot on. Pretty close to authentic with a nice little twist.Nouman was our main server. He was chatty with good advice. The restaurant was pretty full with loads of families. A sure sign they are getting lots of things right. In fact with the variety of food coming out there can't be much wrong.A treasure on Ilford Lane.Back again. Served by junaid. Would love to tell you what we ate, but, the names escape me. We had a mixture of meat and veg and it was all stunning. Lamb jalfrezi, peshwari naan, a chick pea dish which was amazing. A starter which we saw come out. A glass with a liquid in and a fried pastry? Topping with a filling. No idea what it was, but, was a mouthful of wildly different textures and taste to follow. . Again, pretty full with locals. Will definitely be back and will try more different dishes.A gem not to be missed

Went at lunchtime, it was fairly empty and the service was very attentive.Parking can be slightly tricky. Paid parking on the main road, but other nearby roads are permit holders only.We enjoyed the channa chat, naan, charsi chicken (although it had lots of tiny bones, so be careful not to swallow) and a mixed vegetable. We didn't enjoy the mixed grill though. The lamb dishes were tender and tasted nice. But the chicken wings and chicken tikka were definitely from the night before. They tasted old and I felt slightly sick afterwards.I'm not sure I would go back, but I would definitely not recommend the mixed grill unless it is fresh meat (best to ask). But everything else seemed OK.

Worst Peshwari Naan I've ever had. I'm not even sure what it was stuffed with. Whatever it was, it tasted horrible. It also had an overpowering taste of cardamon. The Jalfrazi has some sort of pickle init, this made the curry taste horrible. I have never eaten a Jalfrazi this bad.Im not sure how this place got such a high rating.

We came here as a group of 5. Service was good. Food was excellent. They take cash and card. Toilets are ok. They give you a bottle of water and then charge you for it. Strange tactics but every penny counts I suppose its their business. Otherwise I really enjoyed it. Oh try to avoid sitting anywhere near the door, There's a horrible draft that comes through whenever it gets opened. Summertime I'm sure it's not a problem.

Taste of the food is good with price but the problem is their service is not up to the mark. There was enough empty spaces but they forced us to seat in a crowded And noisy place!Where we should be served in our preferred place because we are paying they’re not going to give free food! The behaviour of staff should be more decent…I hope they will improve
