MTS Rider Training

Honestly, it's an amazing rider school. All the instructors make you feel like they are there for you and genuinely want you to pass. I did my CBT and DAS through MTS, and I'm glad I did! Jed was my instructor throughout my DAS, and I can't rate him highly enough. He was patient and a joy to spend 5 days training with. I booked last minute and don't regret a thing. Thanks to him, I passed my Mod 1 and Mod 2 on my first try.My CBT instructor was just as great. He's an ex-cop and an absolute joy to work with. I believe his name was Simon, but I could be wrong. Either way, they're all a joy to get to know.It's a highly welcoming environment with just the right amount of banter. It really shows that they enjoy what they do, and they're exceptionally good at it. By the end of your courses, you'd want to grab a pint at the Imperial with them!Needless to say, I highly recommend them.

I cannot recommend MTS and all of the people working there highly enough. Every member of staff are so calm, informative and fun. If you make a mistake, they will calmly advise you where you're going wrong, and they will keep doing that, or offer alternate strategies until you get it right, but once you've done it correctly a few times and then mess up, they may call you an idiot in a light hearted and jovial manner. Well that's what they did with me at least, several times.As I've said, all the staff I met are fantastic but I must give a special mention to Simon and Andy. Those guys really helped me, cajoled through my parts one and two of my test.I will definitely be going be for more training with MTS!!

Genuinely, I had the most positive experience whilst completely my CBT at MTS. Having not rode a bike before, I was anxious upon arrival. But instantly, the instructors, with their banter and willingness to push you, but not cause stress was everything a new, nervous rider needs and more.Vanders, Simon, Andy and Jed (for the lift back to the station) you are all legend's. Thank you for making my day, the very best it could be and helping me leave to confidence.

Just like to say a massive thank you to you and your team.I’m buzzing with passing my Direct access course.Andy my first instructor really helped and supported me through a confidence wobble I was having at the start of dual carriageway work and gave us trainees both great tips and advice that helped us pass. Martin again a massive support and really helped us calm the nerves and polish off to a high standard to get us above where we needed to be for test, which gave us the best chance in passing.I found all your instructors helpful, friendly and whiling to share advice during lunch meets. Great banter!Enjoyed my first solo ride on my own bike this afternoon and happened to bump into Martin on his bike which was nice.A highly recommended training Centre!Thanks again!Scott

I cannot recommend MTS rider training enough. I was turned away from so many schools due to my height and personal circumstances. I had awful experiences with multiple schools and I had the complete opposite with these guys. Chris, Brian, Simon and Andy especially were incredibly kind. They were able to cater to my height with lowered bikes, along with an assessment day and two training days for my MOD 2. The entire team was kind and welcoming I never felt awkward or anxious around them. They are clear at instructions and very encouraging, they managed to fit in my assessment and training in before my theory expired and I passed with 0 faults!I am very grateful to the whole team, but especially to Chris and Brian who were so helpful, helping me get to and from the training centre and just overall being lovely guys.I’m incredibly excited to get on my bike and be back again in 2 years for my unrestricted licence!!Thank you again so much.

Recently completed my 2 day cbt with June.She was fantastic, she provided the best level of instruction I could have hoped for.We spent a perfect amount of time going through each section, ensuring we were both capable and confident before moving forward.I valued her teaching and understood everything that was asked of me.Throughout the weekend I felt at ease and would definitely recommend completing your cbt here with June.Looking forward to returning to complete my full licence.

I achieved my CBT and DAS/A2 with MTS Rider Training Exeter and had a Fantastic riding/learning experience. The team consists of highly professional instructors with plenty of experience; they delivered quality non judgemental instruction from the get go, as a complete novice, I was instantly put at ease by my instructor creating an effective learning environment. I really can't recommend them enough, a special thanks to my instructor Will (Doc) for getting me from zero to hero in a short period of time.

Just Excellent Driving instructors! I did an intensive 5-day course and was taken care of and in good hands all the way from start to finish. And 4 weeks later I was on holiday in Croatia riding a big bike around! The instructors were patient, calming, and experts allowing me to pass both mod1 and mod2 confidently with only 1 minor. I had previously failed mod 1 a few years back due to nerves and bullish instructors: totally different experiences at MTS with their instructors and dedicated learner track before you hit the open road. Learning on a nearly-new bmw 750GS was great, very smooth and easy to ride with lots of power across all ranges - I’ve even gone on to buy one myself! I had a Pawesome time cruising around Exeter. Highly recommend.

Just passed my motorcycle tests on the first attempt.I would strongly recommend anybody who is thinking about riding or returning to biking, to give Mts rider training a call.The whole team are brilliant, relaxed and friendly.
