Boots Pharmacy

Boots typically has everything you're looking for in health and beauty aids including a chemist/pharmacist. However, you pay a higher price due to their overhead in placing stores in shopping centres, malls, etc. Staff is very friendly and eager to assist if you can find one on the floor.

Generally this is a good pharmacy, however at times it can be problematic. My husband and I called a week to check we still had a script to pick up so we knew when to reorder. We were sure we had a week left but were told there was nothing there. After a frantic rush to have prescriptions written out so it could be picked up normally and spending over £25 on a taxi to get the scrips there I went in and was told by the pharmacist who told my husband 2 days earlier that there was nothing there that there was indeed a week left on my prescription!. It was the same man to make the mistake. He then tried to say he had no clue who we had talked too but we all knew it was him. It cost us money we don't have, it cost us time we don't have as we have an 18 month old baby and a 13 week old baby and it caused a massive amount of anxiety and stress which I already suffer from.Sometimes I go in and a different lady will tell me nothing is there for me even though my GP sends 4 weeks supply and I have her go look again only for it to magically appear.They are at times not good at keeping an eye on how many weeks are left or even finding my prescription but generally for most of the time it's a good pharmacy. Some more empathy could be used at times as I've been waiting I've seen people get frustrated with the lack of help and understanding.There is one lady there though that is a gem!. She us always so happy and helpful so to her thank you.This is also a very small boots incase anyone would like to know.

I use the small boots and have never had any problem. Staff are friendly and put you at ease normally served quick.

I'd never been here before. Beware the very constrained one way system! The first member of staff I met was enormously helpful and polite but when I returned a bit later his colleague was petty and rude: not good.

Whenever I’ve been in to purchase toiletries or over the counter medication I’ve had friendly and pleasant service, especially from the older lady who is sometimes at the till. However, I had a very different experience with an officious, patronising person who seemed keen to deliver a lecture to me after I’d made a perfectly reasonable and dignified enquiry. Glad this isn’t my dispensing pharmacy!

Wife stood waiting to get served while four members of staff just walked about with little or no interest in serving her. Rubbish. Needs a good shake up.
