Was one of our favourite Festival venues but no more. No info any more on the shows outside, young staff had no knowledge, more interested in talking to each other. Queuing in the rain .Will not be back.

Nice live venue.Went to see Antonio Forcione here a few years ago, and it was great. Slightly cramped seating, but great atmosphere and decent acoustics. Just a shame you have to trek up the mound to get there.

We recently attended a Best of The Fest show ( it wasn't ) but made even worse by dreadfully cramped seating from the balcony and way too hot to be remotely comfortable for 300 plus? people. Organisation was terrible as we were half way in the very long queue and then ended up in the balcony with a restricted view. Those at the back of the queue ended up on the ground floor with better seats and a better view. Very poor venue if packed and avoid the balcony at all costs!!

Great venue with a variety of shows on during the Fringe. Building is beautiful but has a lot of stairs. If you have access issues it is best to phone ahead to avoid the crowds. Disabled access is on the Royal Mile at the back of the building.

Not a great fringe venue. Took a relative age to get in. Poorly managed queuing system. Quite a cramped stage for the production that was on. Usual inexperienced pop-up bar staffing that you get at the festival.

Lovely place and relatively big. Good artwork inside the hall and good architecture. It is on the first floor. It is immediately on the left hand side as soon as you enter from the main road into the Mound Place.

Here for the fringe and in the balcony and found that the view was restricted and very difficult to see with high front edge and columns all along the front. Seats reasonably comfortable but after 5 minutes the place was so hot that it doesn't matter how good they were
