After seeing the job descriptions offered by this company I decided to take a closer look at the opportunities available, what services they offer and how staff and service users feel about this company. So far I have noticed many conflicts of interest in the reviews here on Google, most genuine reviews seem to be negative, one mentioned something rather concerning.Online presence seems upstanding but all I'm hearing about is the management issues, I'll be back to add to this review upon further interactions with the company.

I have worked at Fonthill for over three years now, after a very nerve racking move from a job I had been in for over ten years and have to say it has been the best decision I have made.Training is in abundance so you feel confident in every aspect of the role and general care for the residents, which is lovely as it means that during breaks I can sit and have a natter with the residents and feel comfortable about helping them up etc if needed even though I am not part of the care team, owing to undertaking the manual handling course.Management always welcome any feedback/ideas and therefore created a 'suggestions' forum which we can all add ideas and general suggestions for the company and care/wellbeing of the residents, which is a really nice touch as its great seeing the points implemented because it shows we aren't just a number and that our input is valued.I am so happy with the decision I made three years ago and really look forward to seeing the company continue to grow!

I have worked at Fonthill for nearly 8 years. I have learned so much and really do still enjoy my work. I feel supported and valued and have amazing colleagues. From our admin staff to our Doctors, everyone works together to make it a great atmosphere to be in. Our residents are at the centre of everything we do and I wouldn't hesitate to have a member of my family care for here.

My son and I work at Fonthill House on a regular basis and admire the passion and dedication the staff display so openly. It is a clean, happy and friendly place where nothing is too much trouble for the staff. It's clearly a well managed home and I would be very happy to send any of my friends or family there.

Fonthill is at a push a 2 star care home , the management are disrespectful of staff and this is why they can't retain permanent staff and have mostly agencey workers. It looks nice from the outside but behind the scenes it absolutely disgusting from managers attitudes to the actual service offered. So mamy things are missed witn residents and its different rules for staff and then there favourite staff!!You very quickly have no respect for management not only because if the way that you are disregarded but the FACT your very quickly told the owner sleeps with the management staff and its very openly spoken about too.I will say there is a hand full of carers who are absolutely amazing and hold that place together.I had such a bad experience there I quit and will never put fonthill on my cv

I’m writing this review to deter you from sending you loved ones here.Management were disgraceful. They have no care for staff or residents, you are just a number and I quote ‘replaceable’ from the owner. At the start i felt very unwelcomed and that felling didn’t leave until I left 6 months later. There is no team work, if you want something done.. you best find time to get it done which then the residents suffer. There is next to no staff working. There is meant to be 8 members of FOH a day all split around the building yet on the usual week you are working on your own. Which means residents either get food delayed or they go hungry.Care staff are pulled from their jobs to do hospitality on a weekly if not daily basis because there is no staff.Long and unsociable hours with no perks or benefits. Felt completely under appreciated for every aspect of my job by numerous managers. You can see staff and residents afraid of the owner who is Nathan, I didn’t clock on why at first until he pulled me a side and shouted at me for something that was nothing to do with me.If I could give any words of wisdom to anyone applying here.. don’t waste your time.

I joined Fonthill 3 years ago during the pandemic. My decision to leave a large NHS trust and join Fonthill was planned pre pandemic. It was such a difficult time of stress and facing the unknown and changing jobs during the first few months of the outbreak. Nathan and senior management made it paramount to protect our vulnerable residents and kept it out of the home during the worst times. Staff were provided with optimum personal protection which no doubt saved many lives. I have felt totally supported as an employee and Fonthill allows me to deliver my ethos in care, thus I am able to support and deliver compassionate and holistic care, treating everyone individually and therefore meeting their unique needs. I would not hesitate to have my loved ones in Fonthill if ever required.

I’ve worked at Fonthill House for almost 2 years now, it’s like one big family. We all work hard for each other with the aim to give the residents everything and anything they need. The attention to detail when addressing a residents medical needs are second to none.Im proud to work here and I’d be more than happy to have a family member cared for at Fonthill.

I have worked at fonthill for over 3 years and have been given lots of opportunities to progress. There is always regular training being offered so feel confident in my role. I also last year after 4 years of looking after my own mum at home whilst she was poorly, made the decision to bring her to Fonthill for palliative care, we were told by the hospital that mum only realisiltically had 2 weeks, but with the expertise of the doctors, nurses, physios and care team managing her symptoms and illness so well she actually had a few weeks where she picked up and was walking again and enjoying some of her favourite foods. Which was so nice for myself and my brothers. Mum always said she felt safe and very well looked after at fonthill. Would recommend Fonthilll to anyone who has a loved one in need of care.

I have been working at Fonthill House for seven years now.I've worked most departments and enjoyed all of them.I'm now currently working in the hair salon. Hairdressing and beauty is my proffesionI was given this opportunity by the owner when we went into lockdown with covid pandemic. The residents love having their hair & nails done on a weekly basis.I feel so lucky to have a great Job with an outstanding nursing home. The Staff and residents are all so lovely. This is what makes this place enjoyable to come to work everyday for me.The Residents of Fonthill are well looked after and cared for.If any of my loved ones had to go into a care home, It would be this one.Highly recommend
