Paul has carried out a most complete and expert restoration of my violin.He was able to give insight into it's history and it's attributes and his knowledge, experience and attention to detail, were evident in every step of the restoration process which in itself was fascinating.The violin now feels and sounds like the instrument it was always meant to be. Paul has recently completely restored the sound of my violin after I noticed an intermittent buzz. I feel very lucky to have met him because not only does the instrument sound fantastic having been re-glued, but he offered great advice about strings and set-up. I am certain that I will entrust all violin maintenance to Paul going forward. Great and quick rehair for my bow as well. Couldn't be happier.

Paul is a master of his craft. He recognised the potential in my daughter’s instrument and has absolutely brought it to life through his ministrations. Sent us lots of photos of the whole process of rebuilding the neck and improving the body, and kept us informed of his progress all the way through. I have been very happy with Paul’s bow rehairs too. Paul also came to the rescue following a bridge/sound post collapse, getting the instrument back up and running in record time. After my cello sustained a rather hefty injury Paul was so wonderful at putting me at my ease and assuring me that all could be fixed. He wasn't wrong- now the work's done the cello sounds and looks better than it did before the accident. He's been excellently communicative and supportive throughout the process of restoring the instrument, and I now can't think of going to anyone else for work on my cello. A real expert and a very nice man to deal with.

For many years now, Paul Parsons of David Vernon Violins has cared for my Craske Violin.In 2014 I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and although I continued to play regularly I knew the time would come when I could no longer play to the standard I wanted.Twelve months ago I made the decision to cease playing and sell my beautiful Craske. Paul took on this task with care and sensitivity. He lovingly prepared it for sale and managed the whole process in a highly professional manner from start to finish. He secured a good price for me, which has enabled me to continue to finance my ceramics hobby. When my cello suffered severe neck damage a local professional cellist friend recommended Paul to me, and I am so grateful to have had the benefit of his wonderful expertise and kindness. I took my Martin Hilsden viola to Paul for a much needed overhaul. He has done a fantastic job - the sound is much more resonant and the readjustment of the string height and spacing has made it so much easier to play. It is reassuring to know that I can always go back to him with any issues however small that may arise as i get reacquainted with my viola.

I have an 18th century Klotz cello, which had had a baroque set up. At my request Paul changed bass bar, neck, fingerboard, tailpiece, in short all work to bring this favourite cello back as a modern cello.Paul has done a truly fabulous job. Paul did an absolutely brilliant job on restoring my Chanot violin. He was friendly, professional and thorough. When I saw the violin for the first time when I picked it up, it blew me away how good it looked! And then I played it and the sounds was exceptional! Paul's work had really opened up the tone of the instrument. It was very emotional to be reunited with it and Paul had taken so much time, care and skill to make it the violin it had been. I would definitely recommend taking your beloved instrument to him.
