This lock is to allow barges to travel between Trent Lock and Langley Mill. It is also a foot crossing between Ilkeston and Cossall Village. Nice clean surroundings and well maintained

A pretty lock on a busy stretch of the Erewash Canal, efficiently maintained by the Canal & River Trust.

Took a walk from the football ground along the canal foot path to find this little gem. Nice well kept are with a small play park at the side. Do not know what it is like to get to by car but worth parking up and walking to.

As nice stopping point on the Erewash trail and you can nip over to the Nottingham canal path from here.
